With the nursery I'm thinking cream or pale yellow walls and mainly mint green/yellow accessories anyway... I'm determined to resist pink as long as possible should ours turn out to be a little girl anyway (hate the whole blue for boys, pink ONLY for girls mentality)... granted - I'm seeing ending up with having the pinkest, most princess-obsessed little lady ever as an inevitability - but I'll be the one out there encouraging tree climbing and all sorts of none pink and fluffy aspirations as long as I can possibly resist!

Matalan had some adorable mint green stuff in - really liking the lemon and mint idea anyway!

Snoopy there's an adorable jungle fun nursery set in the babies r us little catalogue I got in the Bounty pack - really cute - mainly lemon and green based. Little hooded towel with elephant ears - disgustingly cute (and highly embarassing in years to come when future boy/girlfriends come round and you break out the embarassing bathtime baby photo collection)!

You an me both! I think the only pink thing I have is a pair of slipper socks, oh and a scarf that mother in law gave me. i was going shopping with the friend for other friends baby girl present, and try to resist pink as much as possible. I said I am not having pink outfits if I get a girl, I will be getting them blue if I can find!!!! (I loved sky blue growing up, and still do!)

    Hello again :)
I'm back from the scan and everything seems fine. The baby was being awkward and refusing to move into the right position for the sonographer to measure the NT. After much wiggling (me) and proding by the sonographer she moved enough to get one measurement before moving back to the original position. The sonographer would've preferred to measure it twice to check but baby wasn't having any of it.
The NT measurement is tiny so everything should be ok, was told I'd find out the results within 10 days.

My EDD has changed from 15th June to the 8th June. We didn't request photos but a few were printed off and handed to us with my maternity notes which is lovely (though the pictures really just look like alien blobs at the moment ;)). Cost wasn't mentioned.
Next scan, end of January :)

Is yours in th morning or afternoon Laura, mine isn't unitl 3:45 - it is going to be torturous (spelling??) waiting all day :-/

8am!! Nice and early, though wish I had made it slightly later so we could have a lay in!

We already have cream walls in our nursery, which I only re-did last year. Our wardrobe is built in so dont need to buy one of those and we have an oak sideboard in the lounge which I am going to use instead of buying draws as it takes up too much space in there any way. We are going for the Tutti Bambini Lucas cotbed in Oak to match the sideboard - hopefully! OH sister has given us loads of I love my bear bedding and the matching curtains and lamp shade so we will use those.

It's funky isn't it - and not the typical pink or blue, and apparantly would be good for the babies development and senses!!!

I love it - bit of masking tape, a spirit level, and several tins of paint lol x

Make sure you've got a house where the walls are relatively straight though - if you've got a "character" property stripes don't half show the flaws of it up! (My mum's house had vertical striped wallpaper when they moved in - well it's 200 years old and none of the walls are straight - so you had doors with the top of the door frame at least 1 inch further across than the bottom of the doorframe - all amplified by the stripes!)

Oh the things we learn the hard way...

    lol

I am quite lucky that the new house we have is quite modern and has very straight nice walls, in fact - have already done a really funky stripey wallpaper in my stepsons room (used it horizontaly though instead of vertically) and it looks really great - is a fab statement!

I do know what you mean though x

Hey guys, I literally cannot wait for this week to whizz by for my 20 week scan on Monday, re some of you commenting on movement, got myself worried last night as LO was still all blooming day, but tonight I've had a few swooshing movements so I think that was a somersault or two! My Dad says you never stop worrying from the day you do the test and I really take after him, can even persuade myself that the movements are so light they're not movements at all, can't wait for DH to feel them on the outside to keep me reassured!

Ladies about the 20 week mark, can you feel your fundus up by your belly button? Mine still feels really low (another worry, I know, I'm terrible!) but I have no real idea whether I'm feeling for the right thing, must ask the sonographer to help me next week!
