Morning all, hope you and bumps are all good.

Well my step brother has not had a good word to say to me about my pregnancy, he thinks as he's the eldest he should have the 1st boy grandchild and has told me he'll kill me if i have a boy (he had the 1st grandchild so i don't see the problem) He's never said congratulations or anything, just told me how erm...loose i'll be down there after i've had the baby (although he was a lot more crude than that) well announced last night that his wife is 10 weeks pregnant. I feel like a bad person but i kind of feel like they've stolen my thunder a little bit but i would never dream of saying anything other than nice and positive things to them. My mum has told him if he's going to be a dad for the 2nd time he needs to grow up and stop treating me so badly as it's very upsetting, i get on really well with his wife and have always gotten along fine with him until i got pregnant. I would love our kids to be close as they will be close in age but if he keeps on like this it'll spoil our relationship totally.

Still on the positive sied, 20 weeks today :) and only one week until we find out if we're team pink or team blue, i honestly can't wait.

    x

Sorry to hear this ((hugs)) sounds like my !!!!!! of a brother. He had been saying awful stuff for years, putting me down, snide comments etc. Cut him out of our lives 14 months ago and its been the best thing I have ever done. Just a shame I have nothing to do with my 2 and a half year old neice,or them with my son and this baby but at the end of the day,its not worth the stress xxx

Yay!!!! Gilly It's our V day at last!!! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I know :) Exciting times. Tried to explain this to my OH, he doesn't understand ha :o

I actually got a good sleep last night, only went to the toilet once in about 9 hours, so I'm assuming baby has dislodged his head from my bladder.

Hey everyone, been away for a couple of days. Hope you're all doing good.

HUGE congrats to the ladies who have just had their V Day and the girls reaching it today. Another milestone.......:j

Been to hospital this morning for the GTT test and noticed you've been talking about it over the last few days. Mine was the 2 hour test. No food or drink from midnight last night and appointment at 9am. Took blood sample and asked me to drink a glass of sugary drink and half a glass of water. It tasted fine. Just sweet, but not sickly and it wasn't like a thick gloopy substance.
Went back at 11am (was allowed to go home etc as long as I rested) and they took a 22nd blood sample. I will get a call before 4.30pm if I fail the test, otherwise can asusme everything went fine. Just hoping not to get 'that' call :)

Also popped down to another NCT sale yesterday and got a few things we're really pleased with. I got a Mama's and Papa's wave rocker for £12.50. Washed the covers in the washing machine and it looks brand new. This one goes almost flat too, so great for newborns. I had looked at it on the M&P's website before. It was even boxed at the sale :) One of the toys was missing, but it's fab!

I also got a lovely mothercare cot top changer for £10 that looks brand new too. I'm a very happy bunny :D

Oh, the first one is a bit big - trying to find a smaller image :rotfl:

 How many!?! :rotfl::rotfl:I think you'd look like a pincushion after 22 blood samples...

Lucky you for being told you can go home in between, I'll have to sit around for 2 hours in the hospital. Hope you don't get a call!

    Afternoon All,

I feel like I've been away for ages, it was only the weekend at the in-laws but no internet access meant I had pages and pages to read!

Fab news on peeps reaching their V days!!

I reacched 20 weeks saturday just gone, so excited to be halfway :) I have the 20 week scan tomorrow - any advice for me?

We're not bothered about finding out blue vs pink but if we "saw" sonething on the screen we'd try to keep it a secret from everyone we know (in real life obviously, not you lot!)

    Icey xx

This is what i'm having on the 10th, as they found sugar/glucose in my urine sample. So until then, i'm trying a change in diet.

CONGRATS GILLY AND TONIQ on V day!!!!!

Just popping in to say congrats to Toniq & Gilly on V-day:j

Twigpig - well done on your bargains!!!!!!!!! :)
Re the GTT I have mine next week and have to not eat from 9pm the night before do blood test & have the sugary drink (lucozade or a powder drink) at hosp at 9am and stay:( at the hospital on my own (hubby off to MIL) for two hours then they will do blood test and if fail have to stay another hour and be tested again I think. This is at a big hospital though but it takes 45 mins to get there and know I will feel like crap as I need to eat in the morning otherwise feel rubbish :(
Hope all is fine with your results.

Icey - good luck for tomorrow! Only advice is it does take a while! think it was at least 20 mins of scanning.
