I took OH and DD1 for my scan with my last baby.. (DD1 is 16 and we were trying to put her off the idea of a baby lol) We had a wriggler in a poor position so had to go back for the spine to be checked properly.

I've only ever had one person with me with the others.. though most of them I went on my own

I'm off to a specialist in Cardiff on Monday. I only have 2cm of amniotic fluid when it should be 5 and over. They could only find one kidney too :(

The policy was printed on my letter from the hospital inviting me for the scan so perhaps check there.
that wouldve been my first place to check, but i didnt get a letter, my midwife made my 20 week appointment at my 12 week scan.

Thanks Anderson, I'm really worried. They were going to send me to Bristol first because they couldn't get hold of the specialist in Cardiff. That really scares me that they wanted to send me so far.

I'm in Port Talbot xx Fluid replenishes when baby drinks it in and wees it out... so I don't know what's happening. Baby is growing but the fluid isn't.

Nobody could give me an answer :(

Well baby growing must be positive? Im honestly keeping everything crossed for you and the little one - I know you've had a difficult time so far but am sure bubs is a fighter.

In this day and age Im sure that something can be done :grouphug:

aww hun i can understand ur worried.

not sure what to say. but i know sometimes things happen and there is no reason why they happen like the less fluid. doesn't mean it will be harmful, just means perhaps it is baffling the docs for the minute and they want to give u the best care possible to make sure there not missing anything. perhaps it is just one of those unexplained thing's.

as for one kidney, alot of adults have a normal healthy life with only one. my bro lost one at age 3 due to cancer and the doc said the surving one is more healthy than most peoples who have two. but as said before maybe baby is hiding it.

were they able to see the sex ?

but hugs to you , as i know like any of us pregnant mums deep down there will always be a bit of worry.

when are u off to bristol ?
