I've been ill in bed all week & since then I haven't felt the baby move.
I'm wondering whether it's to do with me being ill or if something might be wrong.
I know I shouldn't panic but can't help being worried.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.

BCS- I know its easy to say dont panic, as I know I would be excatly the same as you right now, but try not to worry too much, maybe call your midwife tomorrow, she may ask you to go and see her or at least offer some advice xxLiving as simply as we can
Baby Girl Due 1/2/2016 :j0 -
BCS I would give MW a call tomorrow - she can try and get a listen with the doppler although it's highly likely that bubs has just moved and that's why you can't feel them atm it would put your mind at rest at least!:happylove DD July 2011:happyloveAug 13 [STRIKE]£4235.19[/STRIKE] £2550.00 :cool:0

Hi ladies. Hi JCR (not that you're not a lady!) just "hi" on this thread.
BCS I'm afraid I don't know enough about how frequnetly you'd feel movements but I assume it's not constant or daily at this stage of pregnancy. That said, if you're worried I would call the MW as others have said because I think peace of mind is the only thing that ever settles me. I hope you start feeling better soon.
I've had a nice lazy day and there's a chicken roasting in the oven. Yum! Feeling a bit sleepy now I may have a weeny snooze. It is the day of rest after all!

as first time mum I got overwhelmed by numbers of things I have to get ready before the baby is born
so I'm wondering when do you start buying things - is it too early to do shopping for clothes, nursery etc?
I don't want to look mental walking/shopping in mothercare when my bump is not so obvious and looking at all sort of stuff, asking staff for advise
so all I can think of is oh my gosh, I won't have time last couple of months before baby is due due to my work commitments so I know my planning and buying has to be a bit ahead but I don't even know where to start :undecidedInformation - never enough, questions - always too many, decisions - not always the best

Hi everyone,
Phew Teeny about amniotic fluid - I guess I will still drink plenty of water as we need it anyway, but there's so much to worry about isn't there! Not sure if anyone saw Embarassing Bodies this week but that's where they mentioned it possibily affecting things.
BCS hope you feel better soon and midwife reassures you tomorrow about bubs.
DogLover snap - I have a chicken in the oven too, which we will have with sweet potato, carrots and spinach. Then there's the naughts Ben & Jerrys
Went into New Look to check out the maternity wear, tried the jeans but they were too big round the waist so will have to wait a week or so, frustrating as was so keen to get some! Thankful for my extender buttons that i got on ebay...
Spent the day at a bootfair in morning then the shops and got 2 new tops which are not maternity wear but stretchy so should last for a bit and beyond PG too. Then more work on my tv unit which I am Shabby Chic-ing, will be finished next weekend and totally new look :j:):)

I phoned the out of hours & went down for a doppler scan but he couldn't hear the heart beat freaking me out so sent me to the hospital for an ultrasound.
Luckily they picked baby up kicking away, they think me feeling so ill has probably prevented me from feeling the baby move & that it was probably tucked down in my pelvis preventing them from hearing the heart beat.
It was a really scary few hours though with plenty of tears & im so relieved now.
I'm glad I went as i've been worrying about if for a few days now.I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I haven't done.
