BCS I'm really pleased to hear you've been checked and everything is ok. I'm about 2 and 1/2 weeks behind you - so when can I expect to start feeling bubs?!
  • Hi BCS so glad to hear it - having any sort of emergency is so scary - had mined with bleeding on Valentines day! Hope you feel better and bet you are so relieved now.

DogLover I have read it's between 18-22 weeks that you feel bubs, possibly towards 22 if it's your first. But everyone is different. I think I can feel flutters but no kicks or anything yet. I wil be 19 weeks on Weds.

Harieta I've bought a few things starting when I was 12 weeks - I would rather spread out the purchases so I don't have to buy loads in last trimester (you never know baby might be early). Im 18 weeks and have so far bought: 2 packs of vests (one newborn, one 0-3), 2 packs of babygrows (same sizes), one hooded towel, one blanket, loads of nappies & wetwipes, changing mat, baby swing and a pack of bottles.

doglover Im not getting proper kicks yet - I think I may be feeling flutters but am not convinced. Hopefully they will start properly soon though as I really want to feel it!

Glad everything is ok BCS! And hope you are feeling better soon.

Doglover This is my first baby. I first felt "flutters" at 16 weeks but only on 2 occasions then nothing for a couple of weeks. Since about 18 weeks it has increased and I feel it all the time now, its constant! lol and can sometimes make it kick me if I prod my belly lol. I am 21 weeks now. They are not hard enough kicks to feel on the outside so husband cant feel it yet but then I do have a bit of a fat layer to get through lol. :rotfl:
Its definitely baby though and sometimes kicks low down at my knicker line but mostly at my tummy under my button. Its very strange though. I guess you could say its like someone poking you in the arm but its inside your belly
Hope you get to feel it soon :) its wonderful. x

They say between 16 to 22 weeks depending on whether it is your first baby as with subsequeant preganancies you recognise the feeling earlier.

I started feeling mine at 16 weeks to start of it was a bubbling feeling but then one side of my stomach would go hard/bigger & i'd actually feel it moving.

I'm sure it won't be long before you do. :A

i still can't feel my baby move. i'm 15 weeks now. i'm surwith last baby i could by now. but i don't even feel the bubbles. but then even hto i've seen the scan i still can't believe i'm preg, so maybe that has somethign to do with it. perhaps the movements are there but i dismiss them. no pleasing some women,:rotfl:

but i'm so looking forward to havign baby kick. i remember with last baby if i was in bath you could see baby turn right around and my belly would completely change shape, it was biazzare but also amazing. could see the foot shape as he stuck it out the side.

Oh wow I can't wait for flutters and kicks. It sounds amazing and surreal. I'm only 16 weeks on Wed so another months wait. It all seems to happen around the time of the next scan.

    Sleep well ladies x

    morning all.

feeling bit sad today. kids go back to school after a week off for half term. even tho the sun is shining and it a gorgeous day, i don't want my little ones to go back to school. i've loved havign them home even tho we didn't get to do all we had planned. all 3 play together so well. they do have thier moments when i feel like ref, but thats not often. they are all just so comical and sucha joy to have around. i do feel very lucky and proud i have 3 fab children.

my dd is excited about my 20 week scan, ok so it 4 weeks away but she can't wait. i just hope baby co-operates and we get to see it clearly on the screen as all my little ones are coming along.

got to leave in 5 mins, so gonna have some big hugs with my little one's.

hope everyone has a good day x
