Thanks for the welcomes. Just wanted to say I have maternity jeans from mamas & papas and I love them.
In fact all my maternity clothes I have bought so far (2 work trousers, 1 jeans, 1 top) has been from M&P
Ah and I also got a Isabella Oliver top on ebay for about one third of the usual price...0 -
Hello All including semi-newbies
Stacey - congratulations on team blue!!
Yesterday was busy having a marathon heated discussion with hubby, he wants to save money by cycling on a fold up bike to work from the p&r :eek: possibly from october as if I dont have enough to worry about!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he seems to forget he is not 16  told him if all goes well and have the baby then he aint gonna have the energy to get up let alone cycle........ besides he will probably get run over by a double decker or break his leg or something  think he is just getting stressed about everything at the mo
Been to MIL's today she has shown me the baby stuff she has knitted the baby has a woolly wardrobe of monumental proportions it will not get cold!!!!!!!! the stuff was really cute cardigans, booties, blanket, bonnets (!) etc I asked her if she had any old sheets etc to cut down she has and has found me some new flanelette which is probably at least 30 years old it has the price printed on it!!! she has some coat lining which she will make blankets for the pram from. She also has some candlewick which is already cut down for coverings. She is very helpful and I know she loves doing it
We also got the smaller crib down which is painted wicker it needs a dust and paint do any of you know what would be suitable/non toxic paint (it is currently white)??????
Have a good weekend all

Any paint should be fine as none contains lead any more.. It is possible to buy toy/cot paint but it is pointless buying it.. it isnt like a tiny baby is going to licking the crib is it.. it will be long outgrown before baby is able to be eating beds!.. Id probably go with giving it a scrub and a lick of silk emulsion..LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
