It might just be raw beansprouts, weren't they implicated in the E coli outbreak?
I managed to find the nappies in my local Tesco, it is quite a small store. My coupon was dated end of Sept too, so anyone hanging onto one ought to check the date. I think the comfort coupon I got and the free reusable nappy in my Bounty book were also end of Sept?
Thats what I was thinking....i hope thats the case:(
Just checked my voucher and its valid until march next year,so thats good:):happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

Hi can anyone help me with something? Just been reading the "foods you should avoid" thread on the baby and bump forum, and it's left me more confused than answered any questions for me,if I'm honest. People are saying you should avoid bean sprouts. I've never heard of this and am worried as I've been eating lots of chinese food during this pregnancy. Google has left me confused too.
That was just the ones that were indicated in the ecoli.. they are fine.. as with all fruit and veg.. make sure it is thoroughly washed..
There is very little you should avoid really.. and people get confused about types of seafood (prawns are fine, but crabs and things with hard shells are not.. like mussels and oysters etc.. they are filter feeder and have high concentrations of heavy metals often..) and cheeses.. spready cheese like philly is fine that does not count as soft cheese.. cooked cheeses are fine as bugs dont like hot.. so stuff like hot brie pie is ok.. but cold brie isnt.. if its blue, cook it through.. Liver has a high vit A content so is advised against.. Processed meats like salami are supposed to be avoided as well..due to the curing process
But.. I have never avoided anything and am yet to do anyone an injury.. other than myself.. 2 days old takeaway rice that has been kept in the microwave is NOT good for you!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

PP I'm glad I'm not the only one that wolfs down badly stored leftovers - and I almost never get sick at all :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession

I'm fancying a chinese takeaway after reading all of that! May not keep the rice for days after though...
Been out shopping today, couldn't resist getting a few more sleepsuits but they made DH go aahh when he saw them so all good, and were not expensive. Also got offered loads of stuff from my friend I was with who has a 9 month old so grown out of all the early clothes.
Also went to Boots with my vouchers, although the avent one was just for one small bottle. Changing bag, nappies & bottle for nothing. Shame I had to spend money to buy indigestion remedy for me really!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

May be worth trying the sympathy vote lol. Say you've spent countless wasted trips to the big tescos and they never have the right nappies in. Worth a try.
Just had a yummy takeaway, crab and sweetcorn soup, chicken curry and egg fried rice and pak choi. Yum.:T:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove
