Yawn, am I the only one can't get comfy tonight? Even the baby was asleep before I started wandering round.

Had a good laugh earlier, my other half rang cos he'd been out all day, but he was watching 'a really good period film' so was ringing me every adverts then rushing back to it. Bored, I decided to look up and see when it ended, he was only watching some old Catherine Cookson 3 parter! :D Think I may've bruised his ego when he rang back finally, and we mercilessly took the mickey about him being hooked on 'Nan tv'. :D

  • Thankyou pigpen :)

Lucy i have had some awful, odd dreams lately- its part and parcel with pregnancy i think. I often wake up half a sleep and see a spider on the wall that isnt there too- as soon as i wake up properly its gone so dreaming i was!
Mummy of a beautiful little boy and fanatical about christmas :D:xmassmile:snow_laug:santa2:
  • Morning all, hope everyone is well :)

14 weeks today :j tummy definately starting to feel heavy which is making it uncomfortable to sleep on my side but just happy to be pregnant so am not complaining :)
  • Morning everyone! I've had 2 nights of fairly good sleep (not waking at 6am!) so am feeling relatively awake for a change.

I've been getting lots more vivid dreams too, but nothing too scary yet, just really odd. The one about a noodle dragon (aren't all dragons made from noodles????....) and Terry Pratchett was the most bizarre so far :)

Had a productive weekend wallpaper stripping so we might actually manage to get the house sorted before bump puts in an appearance!

Also been busy ebay listing as it was a free weekend. Had to re-list the M&P maternity jeans I'd just bought as they are so pretty but sadly a bit tight around the hips - maybe I'm more a 10 rather than an 8! I am really intending to get the house decluttered so there's room to fill it with baby stuff. DH said he's list things too (and to be fair, the house is mostly filled with his stuff) but trying to get him to dispose of anything is really hard work, and he managed to find excuses for not listing anything... I'll just have to remind him next free listing day!

Congrats on team blue Stacy! Hope everyone elses scans go well too, 2 weeks and 2 days until I get to have mine, still seems like ages to wait!

I had my consultant appointment about 13 weeks (high bmi). She just checked urine, blood pressure, gave advice to not gain "excess weight" and asked if I wanted to be referred to talk about healthy eating (which I declined). Seeing her again at about 34 weeks.... :)

I've also not gained anything over the last 2 weeks, so feeling quite pleased with myself today (just got weighed at Slimming class tonight). :)
    TTC #3..........
  • Hello everyone! Hope you're all doing OK today.

We're having the ceilings ripped down in the house starting today :( Thought they might be all right to skim over, but apparently they shouldn't move when you press them. It'll be lovely when it's done but I'm not looking forward to going home to a house full of dust for the rest of this week.

Has anyone else got a really sensitive sense of smell now? Normally I'm fine with cat smells, but ours had vomiting and diarrhoea last night and I came within a whisker of throwing up myself, it smelt so bad. Poor DH had to deal with the mess! I also seem to really dislike the smell of cat food - it's impressive how quickly I can get it out the packet while holding my breath - though at least it's nowhere near as bad as the diarrhoea!

Hi Bluebell, how may weeks are you now? My sense of smell was so delicate in early preg and going out was hard as I could smell a cigarette/coffee shop a mile off. Going into the kitchen was hard too and I couldnt go into a certain cupboard where the coffee pods were kept:eek: Its eased off quite a bit now and just get the odd spell of queasyness.

I'm 18+4 now, haven't had any sickness at all so far, just mild nausea and a funny taste in my mouth. The nausea eased off a few weeks ago, and the funny taste has mostly disappeared, it just comes back occasionally (like when I tested DH's glass of cider), but my sense of smell is definitely getting more sensitive rather than less!
