    Hi all.
Im nearly too big for this thread. 24weeks on Friday:j.

Welcome to all ladies just joining us:D

My OH has been able to feel kicks, which i'm glad about as i think then he has developed a little bond with baby. He is sweet everytime he comes home from work he asks if theres been any kicks in the day!

Got home from work yesterday and OH had a sainsbury bag for life full off newborn clothes then he took me into the longue and there were loads spread out on the sofe. The clothes have never been worn, he got them from a work mate so all free!:jI think we are ok for newborn clothes!!

    Afternoon Ladies,

    :rotfl:at the bearded baby, bless!

I had a dream the other night that I was fighting off two humongous crocodiles. I was holding each of their mouths shut and was trying to olympic hammer them out of the lake I was swimming in

I'm only 14+4 so no feeling anything yet :( I certainly couldn't feel Elvis headbutting my bladder albeit I was watching him do it on scan computer screen. I'm lookgin forward to feeling the kicks and hiccups when they do come along though.

Def feeling more movement now,and can find the heartbeat almost straight away on the doppler. I can tell now when he/she is awake too depending on how fast the heartbeat is. awww.

  • Hi lucy, hope your 16 week check goes well today and have a nice haircut! I'm letting mine get a bit longer for winter, but I've had to DIY my fringe. At least with wavy hair I can get away with it looking a bit uneven! Sorry to hear about your nightmare :(

I was so tired yesterday that I can't actually remember any dreams from last night. I've had meetings over the last two days which meant doubling my walk to work time as they were on a different site, including climbing the giant hill, and it just left me feeling shattered! Still, am feeling better today but might have to consider paying out for a car park permit if I have to go down there too often over the next 5 months.

Cat is still ill :( She wasn't sick yesterday but still had diarrhoea. We're trying her on bland food for another day (house smells of rice which is much less nasty) and if that doesn't help it might be time for a vet trip. Luckily the smell had time to disappear overnight before I came across it in the litter tray just before breakfast... so didn't feel too sick myself this time round!

Hi check up went well, but theres no record of the blood test I had to have re done due to low platelet count:( MW is getting back to the lab to see where they are then getting them posted to me. She's also chasing up consultant care too. Listened to the baby's heartbeat which was lovely, even tho I have a doppler it was so much nicer listening to it properly:)

I asked whether it was safe to dye my hair now and she wasn't sure. my roots really showed up in the hairdressers today,so am seeing if they still do that coloured mousse I can maybe use in the meantime.

Yes, my first little bubba :D actually, first for both of us - we're as clueless as each other!

I went to see the MW today, just to review after the 12 week scan. I actually got the letter from the hospital this morning saying that Elvis has a low risk (1/16,000) of Downs, phew!

She had a student MW with her who took my BP and did the dip test. All fine too. Then she said we'll take a listen to the heartbeat. She found it right away (nice co-operative baby!) and it was AMAZING to hear it for the first time :D I felt a little bad as I had told DH it was a routine appointment and he wouldn't be missing anything :o.

The MW told me to wear my passion killer flight socks for the whole of day of travelling (we go on our long-awaited honeymoon on Saturday) and to move around lots and drink lots of water. Anyone got any other tips?

I told DH if he laughs at the passion killers I will punch him! :p
