 at Ro.... I'm here, I'm here. Was a bit busy at work yesterday afternoon, and decided to scrub the house last night after work, as I had some energy left :rotfl: The scan was great, though naughty beanie did not play along. It took 45 mins, but I can't complain. Beanie was jumping around and waving. So cute! Sonographer pointed out ribs, stomach, feet, hands, nose, heart etc etc. She was lovely and very patient, lol.
Today is now annoucement day for us. We're with the parents for dinner tonight, so we'll start sharing the news. Exciting stuff! :j

Wonder womble - sorry you're not sleeping and in pain (((hugs)))

Amanda - Come on over..... Enjoy your scan later too :D

Tiny Tink - Congrats on the baby boy :j

Hi All. Some welcomes and congratulations in order then! Sorry that some aren't having a good time, sending hugs to wonder womble, and Ro if you still can't eat nice things like cheesecake!

Had a good day today, appointment at the hospital with the midwife and consultant and all okay. Best thing though was midwife found the heartbeat for us :j. So exciting to hear that for the first time!

Not got to see consultant again until 34 weeks but got an extra scan to have at that point for some reason (not complaining!). 16+3 now, so a long way to go and very strange making appointments for November! Haven't even made the 20 week appointment yet, I've got to ring to arrange next week.

Also got home to a letter with the blood test results and am low risk for downs so no further testing required.

Have now released the over-excited parents to tell anyone they want to (only told immediate family at 12 weeks). Still not told my work though!!

    Hey everyone,

Just popping back to say we had our official 12wk scan today dated us 12 wks 5 days one little bean bouncing away happily :D she was sleepy today actually well more so than last time anyway but all looks good.

Afterwards I met my consultant and she was fab the plan is that from 20wks I will be scanned every 4 weeks and reviewed in her clinic I will be induced at 38wks as they won't take any chances she advised to keep up with the painkillers for my SPD but will need reviewed at 20 wks and I said I wasn't keen on taking Tramadol (which was her recommendation) feel really quite safe with the plan and like we've got a massive achievement.

We signed up for the screening for downs the measurement at the back of the neck was 1.4 but obviously have to wait for the blood results to give full risk analysis, they said if we didn't hear from them by Tues afternoon then we are in the clear ! A letter will then follow.

Do you guys have a due date or scan list of any description that I could add myself onto ?

    xx

Hello, just popped in to say hello and see how people are getting on :)

I'm 18 weeks now-just wondering when people started feeling kicks/movement? I'm not feeling much at all yet-with my 1st pregnancy i started feeling movement just after the 20 weeks scan. So i'm hoping to feel more soon.

My midwife won't listen to the babys heartbeat untill 26 weeks now-it's all changed since i had elliot. So untill my 20 weeks scan-i don't know if everything is ok. I feel more nervous this time around, for some reason. I can't seem to relax about the baby being ok.

Also-i'm not showing much yet, but i didn't last time either. I'm just worrying too much!

    keely.

    Morning everyone

Amanda - Glad that your scan went great. :D

It seems a few of us have consultant referrals. I have my first appointment next week (high BMI), so not sure what to expect from her. I think the scan at 34 weeks is a "growth scan" from what I've read, and is common for larger ladies. No doubt, I'll get one of them :rotfl:

A new list for scan dates would be good if we don't have one. Would be nice to get to know who's at what stage on the board. Happy to create one if no one has any objections (and we don't yet have one :rotfl: )

Keelykat - We saw the heartbeat at our 12 week scan, but didn't hear it and I must admit that I never bothered to ask. We heard it at our private 8 week scan though, which was lovely. There's even the little heart monitor lines (like the blips you seen on the machine at the hospital - not sure if that even makes sense, lol) on a few of our 8 weeks scan photos :)
