Hi all, posted a while ago but not been on for ages as have been busy with my teaching placement. Am finished now so am a lady of relative leisure between now and 9 December.
This is my second time round, so I've been feeling things for a couple of weeks now (am 20 weeks tomorrow), kind of bubbly feelings and twitches rather than anything 'kicky', but am expecting more over the next few weeks. Have got scan next Tues, reaaaaaaaaaaaaally hope they can tell me whether we're team blue or pink; if they can't I'm considering a private 4D scan to find out cos there's no way I can wait till it pops out!
Would also echo Pigpen's info about midwife appts, 5 mins max each time IIRC. My 16 week involved testing wee and BP then listening to heartbeat. Not getting bf to come to any of those cos there's really no point. One of my best friends is a student midwife and asked this week if I'd like her to be a part of the birth, have said I would as I think it would be a lot more comforting. Last time it was all a bit of a blur with the drugs and everything, but it would have been nice to have a familiar face. My other best friend has recently found out she is preggers, due about 3 months after me so she wants to come to my birth too to see what it's all about. Not sure if that's a good idea for her or not!
Hope all have a good day, I'm off to graduate this afternoon in my silly gown and hat!Little lady arrived 13/12/110 -
Hi all, thought I would have a rant as having a hard time at the moment. I am constantly tired and ache everywhere. I am just over 18 weeks and already having problems walking which doesn't help when I have a 4 hour commute of a day. (2 there and 2 back) and no one gives me a seat even though I have invested in a lovely large badge so no one can be confused by the is she fat or pregnant.
Yesterday was the worst, I got on the tube to be pushed out of the way by a guy to get the seat I was about to get. He then ignored me (yes he saw the badge) So having to stand and move out the way at every stop for people getting off and on. Moved out of the way of one woman to be pushed over by a man trying to get off the other side of me. I fell out of the train was visably upset and shock up and still no one offered me a bl***y seat. grrrr.
I still have 10 weeks of work left (booked all my holiday before the maternity) and not sure how I am going to make it through, I have quite flexable timings at work so have tried getting many different timed trains to see if any are easier however they always seem to be packed.Overdraft = £1000 Emergency fund = £2500

Hi All
*RO* I had my 20 week scan and the little sea monkey behaved himself and we found out we are having a baby boy!
Team blue now!
Anyway the most important things that's they check were all normal so up to now a healthy baby!
Hope everyone else is OK
Amanda good luck with your 12 weeks scan and the next big one will come round so quickly it's amazing how fast the time goes when your expecting! Then you will see if you are right about being team pink!
We were both wrong and are officially team blue without a doubt as he cooperated and we got a good view of everything!
Take care all ** labour vibes to those who want them **
