Hi everyone,
Ro, nice to see you have come over to join us!
Mimi, so sorry about your trouble at home. Maybe (if you've not already) you could have a look over on the DFW boards to see if anyone there can make any good suggestions re the finance situation.
Well, i had a bit of a milestone today. I'm 16+1, and today had my very first experience of beanie making "his" presence felt physically! Really funny sensation, just like someone poking my tummy from inside, which i guess it was! Was trying to keep a straight face in my very serious meeting, but it kept making me want to giggle!:D
Also managed to get a good listen to beanie heart beat on our doppler the other day. Took a while to find behind my padding, kept getting placenta noises to start with, then suddenly found my horse galloping! Just under 140bpm, so a boy if one believes the old wives tales!
Only 3 weeks to go before i can find out for sure (if beanie plays ball!).
Kx
How lovely to feel him/her move! I am 18+1 (with my 1st) and not felt any movements yet. I am hoping to feel something soon as I know it should be anytime now. We also have a doppler and I can always pick the heartbeat really well, I love listening to the heartbeat, I just find it so amazing that I am listening to my babies heartbeat from inside me. I can't wait to meet hime/her now and I still have 22 weeks to go!!
I was reading the thread on birth stories yesterday - omg it is the best thread on here without question (well it is for expectant mothers) it was so lovely to read about people's experiences and although most made me want to squezze my legs shut tight!! the endings were so lovely, nearly all made me cry (am v. emotional at the mo!!)
I have an appointment next week with the consultant as I have an ovarian cyst they are monitoring, so I am hoping to get a scan out of that (midwife said I will) so I can get a look at baby and then I have my 20 week scan two weeks today, so hopefully will be able to see him/her twice in two weeks
I feel so blessed to be pregnant0 -

Hello Nikkie !!
Glad scan went well, we are not far apart for EDD (I am 18th)
Can't believe you are getting married so soon after the birth !!!
But I really hope both events are wonderful for you

P.S you could always add a naming ceremony/christening at the end of the wedding save on catering !!! very MSE!!!0 -

Brought my fiirst baby item today - Mum's been buying them all but today i actually paid for something lol When i had DD i had a fisher price aquarium take along swing (think i paid about £40) well I found one today on a carboot - £8!!!
OH says he wants us to "sort things" but doesnt say "i love you" any more, dont get XX on end of texts, he doesnt stay in same room as me for long and he doesnt want to make plans with me to hang out with my friends, wont kiss me or hug me . . . . I dont see us "sorting things" strangely.
Am going to struggle with money this month which is making me panic. I've told tax credits and council he's gone - none can sort out any claims for 3 - 6 weeks!!!! I earn £600 and have £1000 going out  OH said he could/would give me some of the rent he owes but i dont want to rey on it just in case - I'm going to have to ask mum for a loan which i REALLY dont want to do. Also found some of his debt letters hidden in the back of the draw that i didnt know about.
.... I am glad you have Your lovely Mum to help you while things are difficult and I know you dont want to ask for money but I am sure she would want you to have it. As for your OH what a :mad::mad::mad::mad:.
Well done on your carboot find it seems that is somewhere I should head when the time comes to look for things!
I dont really know about these things but re debt letters and finance may be worth getting independent advice eg CAB/jobcentreplus etc to ensure you are are applying for everything and understand your rights re maintenance etc. As said before there are some really helpful threads on finance/debt on MSE.
Take care of yourself and lots of hugs for your little 3 yr o

hiya Ro, thanks cool we are close to EDD
yeah the wedding was all booked up so we started trying we were thinking it might come after the wedding but we got pregnant really at the first try lol we are really happy though and looking forward to some crazy times ahead
never thought about the dual ceremony thing hmmm, will have a word with the OH later lol0 -
Mimi - sorry, that all sounds awful. DFW might be able to help, but you'll have to find some money to bridge the gap in funds this month. With any luck once the claims go through you'll be back on an even keel. :grouphug:
Nikkie - congratulations on the beanie and wedding. Joint wedding and naming is a great idea of Ro's!! DH and I started trying before the wedding, but once everything was booked my only worry was that I would end up about 8 months gone on the day. Got married this May, so we were actually 8 weeks and no-one but us knew about the baby. DH said it was lovely because it was like our little family was there already. Yours will get to be in the wedding photos too!
I've just caved and ordered a doppler. Not very MSE of me as it's hardly an essential, but if I can work it and hear the heartbeat it will be worth it.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Hey everyone, hope you're all well
I'm 13+3 now & I'm still suffering horrible ms & still moaning about it lol. I've been having really sore backache aswell which results in me lying down & not being able to get back up again! I feel so tired all the time, i really can't wait to start feeling normal again, if it ever comes. To top it off I've just had a letter from the 12 week blood test I had done & I'm rhesus negative. Of the 15% of women that have it, it had to be meHas anyone else had this result? I've read the leaflet but I'm still not too sure if it means I have a high chance of something going wrong & so the worrying begins...

Hi Stacey,
My sympathies on the m/s and backache. I think it is time to train your OH on the art of a good back rub!
With ref RH-, try not to worry. Now they know you are RH-, it just means they can keep an eye on you, and take the right action to make sure you and beanie are OK. Generally checking your blood periodically to check for antibodies, and giving injections if they are needed. If its your first pregnancy it has even less of an impact on things as you wont have built any "resistance" yet.
I think the main thing you can possibly do to help, is be very gentle if you and your OH "do the deed", to try and avoid causing any bleeding in your cervix, but even then if it does happen, its not the end of the world.
Let your docs and midwife look after you and beanie. If you are worried about what it all means, have a chat with your midwife or doc at your next check, and tell them your concerns.
