Can I ask how much weight people have put on, (a bit cheeky I know) As of this morning I am 8 lbs heavier and am worried that it's too much, (maybe less by the end of the week with this bad tummy, lol :rotfl:)
Kimmy
At 18 weeks I have gained 5 lbs but my bum seems to be expanding faster than my bellyand I feel like I have put on much more than 5 lbs

Hi everyone, sorry I havent been around. OH is moving out at the end of the month and am upset (obviously) about it. Not sure whats going to happen.
Baby is fine - have another scan next month, Am boreder line anemic but they want to hold off with the iron tablets for now. downs test came back 1/1000 and heard heartbeat for first time other day. Weight wise, I was 11 stone 9 size 12 before pregnant, am now 11 stone 13 (I'm tall so carry it well!) still fitting in size 14 trousers but bump now more prominant so out come the bump trousers.
Everyone is different Kimmy - I read some where you should put up to a stone and a half on during pregnancy. Are you eating more? You shouldnt eat more calories daily until nearer the end of the pregnancy
Hope your all ok0 -
Hey Mimi, sorry to hear that your OH is moving out. Hope that you are ok?0

Welcome to Ro, glad the scan went well, it's amazing to actually see the little one bobbing around in there, isn't it!
WW - so glad you are getting some sensible answers at last, and it sounds like that hospital may be a very good move.
Mimi - also want to send you hugs.
On the weight thing, I'm sure the advice is to try not to put much on before 20 weeks. (This might just be what they told me as I am already overweight). After then you do need to eat a bit more and most of weight gain is the baby, placenta, fluids etc, not all onto us. Even though it may look a lot like that!!
Finally had success yesterday with getting my bloods taken. They only got the first downs screening bloods at my dating scan as then my veins stopped bleeding! I've got a fine bruise to show for it, but all the little vials got filled.
And eyelinerprincess - I found tears coming to my eyes at a Michael Buble song. Most distressing as pretty much all I listen to is rock and metal. DH laughed at me when I told him!!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Hi everyone - I'm upset but I'll be fine. Have a 3 yo to keep me going at the moment. Have gutted the house today and feel much better. Brought my fiirst baby item today - Mum's been buying them all but today i actually paid for something lol When i had DD i had a fisher price aquarium take along swing (think i paid about £40) well I found one today on a carboot - £8!!!
OH says he wants us to "sort things" but doesnt say "i love you" any more, dont get XX on end of texts, he doesnt stay in same room as me for long and he doesnt want to make plans with me to hang out with my friends, wont kiss me or hug me . . . . I dont see us "sorting things" strangely.
Am going to struggle with money this month which is making me panic. I've told tax credits and council he's gone - none can sort out any claims for 3 - 6 weeks!!!! I earn £600 and have £1000 going out  OH said he could/would give me some of the rent he owes but i dont want to rey on it just in case - I'm going to have to ask mum for a loan which i REALLY dont want to do. Also found some of his debt letters hidden in the back of the draw that i didnt know about.0 -
Sending hugs to Mimi.
Had my 22 week app today, JJ doesn't like the doppler, took a few minutes to find heartbeat since every time it came near, he/she scuttled out the way!"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Hi everyone,
Ro, nice to see you have come over to join us!
Mimi, so sorry about your trouble at home. Maybe (if you've not already) you could have a look over on the DFW boards to see if anyone there can make any good suggestions re the finance situation.
Well, i had a bit of a milestone today. I'm 16+1, and today had my very first experience of beanie making "his" presence felt physically! Really funny sensation, just like someone poking my tummy from inside, which i guess it was! Was trying to keep a straight face in my very serious meeting, but it kept making me want to giggle!:D
Also managed to get a good listen to beanie heart beat on our doppler the other day. Took a while to find behind my padding, kept getting placenta noises to start with, then suddenly found my horse galloping! Just under 140bpm, so a boy if one believes the old wives tales!
Only 3 weeks to go before i can find out for sure (if beanie plays ball!).
