HN is still a bit of a gamble but if it pays off you're quids in. I would imagine by going direct with a local EA you should get some early viewings because they will have people on their books that require such property whereas HN will not.

I wasn't expecting any viewings in the first few weeks but we've been on for 3 weeks now and have 6 viewings booked. We're in no particular rush so if the offers don't come I'll stick by HN for a while longer yet.

    Good luck all

Good evening: We have sold twice through Housenetwork in areas where the market couldn't be called buoyant by any stretch of the imagination...both properties had been newly renovated to a high standard so made the sale of each far easier. We will use HN again...we like saving money:D

Totally agree with Canucklehead. Presenting your property to high standard makes it more attractable for buyers which hopefully in turn will secure an offer.

Just to update that we've accepted an offer today. HN have been absolutly brilliant and I can't recommend them enough. Fingers crossed for a smooth final lap.

I have asked the people that viewed our house their opinions when phoning HN and all have been full of praise.

Keep up the good work HN

Many thanks Canucklehead although I'm not cracking open the champagne just yet :p

Yes we're heading back to the mainland. The Island is a lovely place to live and I'll probably venture back this way when I'm grey and old. However at present I want to further my career and open more opportunities for my children for when their older. I believe moving back to the mainland will improve the chances of this.

Many thanks for your help along the way

Tonydee: Our move back to the mainland was the best decision for us...as you say more opportunities for all concerned.

    Best of luck.
