I had a few changes last tax year and when it got to April 11 I updated with an estimate for this year because someone came back from the sick and I won't be earning as much. So I'm wondering if this update has hindered my declaration being dealt with as quick as other peoples, especially when I did mine on the 4th and others did too and they've had their one off payments.0

I did mine over the phone on the 4th and my new payments were on the system on the 9th.
I am getting two payments tomorrow and my normal four weekly payments will carry on next week at a slightly higher rate due to me earning less last year.
I am owed a potential payment from last year which as far as I can work out has not been included in this years payments.Maybe they will pay that later when they send the final award notice for last year.0 -
Well... I have tried for an hour tonite to find out whats happening as from this thread people are getting lumps payments etc...
I am still being overpaid and really dont like it as my circumstances have changed a lot... which I just want the right money...since April it has been approx 6 weeks of overpayments which of course they will take back and quite rightly.. But I just would like to know where I am for a budgeting point of view.
Its not fair putting people in this situation and you cant even get through to see whats happening.... I saw a thread from somebody saying about their earnings balancing... thats a new one on me...my earnings have increased lets hope it all ties in as I did estimate a lower amount as I didnt know I would get a payrise in the current climate, but guess it also works the other way as well.
Would welcome any comments or shared experience which helps not just me but others to understand this Tax Credit thing.....0 -

This year I couldnt get through on the phone lines os decided to renew by post. Sent my forms back 2 days ago so I am hoping to have my lump sum soon.
Very!! work are refusing to change my hours after maternity leave so i cant go back. have to clear as many debts as i can before i go on benefits so the money today has cleared my overdraft!!

I claimed Working Tax Credit last year.
My girlfriend receives child benefit for our daughter.
Will our claim this year be paid into the one account, or would I get the WTC as I'm the one working and the missus get CTC due to her being the one who receives child benefit?DEBT FREE!
Debt free by Xmas 2014: £3555.67/£4805.67 (73.99%)
Debt free by Xmas 2015: £1250/£1250 (100.00%)0 -
I think you would get the wtc as it is u working.0

I renewed by phone on Saturday (the 7th) and have received a WTC lump sum this morning, equal roughly to one weeks WTC payment. No mention of CTC, so i assume that bit is ok.
Normal payment of both due tomorrow, so will update then0
