Right now the most important thing is you and your baby. I'm sure your partner would hate to think you're so down about the debts. Whilst he may not be able to help financially, i'm sure he'd be a listening ear, wonderful hugger and perhaps a hand to hold as you go and see CAB or another debt charity for help.
To take the earlier advice of calling Samaritans, that's what they're there for.
Big hug, good luck and don't let this beat you.

P.S Nothing makes me feel better than a good cuddle with my pooch when I'm feeling down0 -
Thanks guys I will check out the bankrupcy board x0

Hmmm - they don't make life easy do they? are you able to set up a sanding order for a pound or whatever from you new account? Aside from that I guess it would be postal orders which will cost you? If you can't do a standing order I guess I would write them a letter remind them of your offer and point out that you can't afford the cost of a postal order (otherwise you would be making them a higher offer ) so they need to provide you with the info. to make the payments. As long as you keep proof you have sent them the letters and are trying them that's all you can do. I can't see a judge being particularly happy with their time being wasted if Barclays are being a pain and you have copies of all your letters informing them of the situation. Thanks DF how can I pay them if they wont let me have a paying in book? Its an overdraft?x
If they still are being a pain you can try writing an official complaint to them which they have to deal with in a certain way and might get more of a sensible response - by which time hopefully you will have a plan of action anyway.

hi hun, I just wanted to send you support and best wishes and congrats you are having a little girl! I think everyone else has really said everything that you need to know to help you deal with the debt issue, but know how you are feeling and what a stress it all is, and am so glad you told your OH all about it, he sounds like a gem! you have him, your little girl and your pooch, and even though money worries and hassle over people persuing you for debts is absolutely awful and Im in no way trying to belittle it, the fact you have those people who love you and your little girl coming really is worth a lot.
Our 3rd sale in 3 months just fell through today, leaving us with yet more legal bills and me on the point of wanting to end it all, but my wonderful husband came home, sat down with me and the children and told us all we are going to keep plugging away, it will come right and that nobody is going to tear us apart, we are stronger together as a unit than ever and we will get through this stronger together, and hes dead right! you have a wonderful little family there who love you - I know people who are so unhappy because they don't have any of that, we need to hold onto that through the awful times, it really will get better - nothing lasts forever and as they say 'this too shall pass' I wish you the very best with your baby, people on here understand and you obviously have so much support, and good wishes from everyone here - Im sending you lots of hugs, keep us posted! xxx0 -
Thanks guys I will try a standing order with Barclays then I have proof & they cant say I havent tried, its so nice to know that I am not alone & your kind words are really helping me through this I feel much stronger already

On another forum I was told to 'Grow up & stop crying like a baby' & 'Stop being childish & start taking responsibility for my own actions!' 'There are millions of people worse off than you' (as if that makes me feel better knowing other people are suffering! I dont want anyone to have to go through this!) And worse...do these people think that speaking to a pregnant woman this way is going to help? I like most pregnant women cry over nothing at all! Thanks again for your support, I am going to post the rest of my letters today xxx0 -

And this says more about your caring nature, your emotional strength and your courage to help others to understand even through your differcult times, than those who believe it may never happen to them!!!! Never lose that faith, it says a great deal about you!!!!:D0 -
My advice would be to stay off those other forums and stick with this one

Did you manage to set up a basic bank account? The reason I ask is because I just set one up - a Halifax Easycash account - over the internet. So if you're not feeling up to going out and doing it, you can do it online. You will need to go into a local branch to show them your ID but at least you could start the process today.
Glad you and the baby are ok. That is the most important thing.
xx
Skint but happy with my lovely family

Id stay well away from them too, sounds like a horrible place! stick with us - most people who make comments like that are only trying to make themselves feel better by upsetting others, says a lot about them!
hope you and the baby are well today xx0 -
Thanks Snoop, that was the forum owner as well! Rude sod, no wonder hardly any people use his forum!!!
Thanks Heather Halifax are one of my creditors sadly
I have set up a fairly basic Natwest account which I set up a while ago before my major meltdown so I have started to transfer things to that now
