Hi, one question and I have had debts to Barclaycard a long while back (so things may have changed). Even when the debt was passed out to a DCA..they never did what you say...notes through door, coming around etc. They sent a DCA once..i refused to speak and they got the hump, whinged and went off. Just letters after that. Have things changed so much re DCAs and pressure and harrassment?? I am sure this can be stopped by your local counsellor/MP /CAB etc.

    Best wishes

Thanks S, I know I find it unbelievable as I only owe them arrears of £110! These collectors are travelling a 25 mile round trip to visit me every time, surely its costing them more in time & money to hassle me?x
  • Hi Vicki, I`ve just sat & read your whole thread & am shocked by the behaviour of your so called boss. My friend at work is going through the exact same thing & has just started talking to the union about following with a formal complaint.
I`m glad that you have decided to go down that route, just ensure that you document everything in a diary, even going back from when it started if you can remember back that far. Make sure that you print off every e-mail you get sent that may have an impact.
That really doesn`t sound right what Barclays are doing, did you send them the letter that was posted for you?
    Please keep us updates

    Hi Wannabe,

I have printed the letter for the DCA & just writing a modified version for Barclaycard.
I feel like all I do lately is write complaints etc :(
Re: Your friend it seems to be more common than I wouldve guessed & its a disgrace! I hope things work out for her x
  • Vicks i know that it feels like all that you ever do is write to complain but just think when you have written them all & sent them they will know that you are not a walk over & that you will fight to keep everything that`s yours.

You can then start on the long road to becoming debt free, i know its a long road, i`ve been on it for 3 years & am still not at the end of it but can now see a very tiny light at the end of the tunnel.
Just think of the weight that will be lifted from your shoulders when they are all getting the token payments that they need. Keep on keeping on your on the right road.

    Take care x

Like Wannabe says, it must feel at least a little bit good to be putting up a fight. They will have to back off once they receive these.
