Oh & forgot to add Barclays have been calling at the house after £108!!! Stressing me even more, hammering on the door & setting the dog mental
Is there anything I can do about this? They refused my offer of £1, pretty much everyone else now has accepted x 0 -
Sounds like your health is good, which is the main thing!
Ignore Barclays, they can bang on the door all they like, it's just noise. Don't let them stress you out. Have you sent them the letter asking that they only deal with you in writing? That should help keep them off you back. I'll see if I can find the template for you and give you the link.
Regarding the house offer - is that their final offer, or just the starting point? Most people who put in an offer on a house expect to raise it a bit from their starting point.0 -
Send them this - and add on visits to your house as well as the telephone bit. They are legally obliged to stop calling and visiting you once you send them this.
Re: Harassment by telephone
ACCOUNT NUMBER: XXXXXXX
Dear Sirs
I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing.
I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls.
I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only.
I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.
If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine.
Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company will be recorded.
Yours faithfully,

There's usually a bit of bluffing involved in these types of things, so maybe he is, you won't know until you test it really. It's probably worth going back and trying to negotiate at least, tell him what the minimum is that you'll sell for, gauge his response.
Ultimately only you can make the call on how low you're prepared to sell the house for - if it has been on for a year and you've only had one offer, he's probably taking advantage of that and putting in a cheeky low bid (I know I would if I was buying a house!). Only you know how much you are prepared to sell for ultimately and what will work for you in your circumstances.0 -
Hi Vicxzy,
I'm wondering how your employer can get away with screaming at you infront of everyone else. I once got bullied down the phone by a colleague and that was bad enough. Do you have a bullying and harrassment policy at work? Are you documenting what is happening?
If you go back to work, you will need to work out a way to step away from these situations. Something like saying calmly
'Stop shouting at me', 'Can you talk to me in a reasonable tone' 'Please don't shout at a pregnant woman it's not nice' 'Would you like to talk about this when you have calmed down' 'I am going to step away until you have calmed down'
Put it on a loop, keep repeating and step away (and document)
I hope all goes well for you,

Hi Vicxzy
Glad the scan went well - that must be a relief. I think we've also come to the conclusion your boss is an idot  - I hope you can follow the disciplinary procedures at work - have you spoken to the union regarding this I can't remember? Also you could try someone like ACAS? I think it is that might help with your rights.
With regard to Barclays I think I would be tempted to write to them - there is a letter somewhere which says you revoke any permission for them to visit you at home without an appointment and you aren't willing to make an appointment. I would also point out that you are pregnant and have been unwell for some time with pregancy related complications and this is not helping. I would also reiterate to them that you are doing your best to sort out the debts and that all you can afford at the moment is x.
You might find help with the divorce on the family section of this website and how to contest him saying you were unreasonable.

Hi Butti,
She really is vile, shes harassed me throughout my pregnancy
She keeps making hurtful remarks too about my baby & my appearance (I do look like a corpse now from illness!)
I think the last incident shocked everybody, Ive not been back to work since.
Ive tried being reasonable with her & telling her shes being inappropriate (shes trying to discipline me for having morning sickness!)
It doesnt work though so have to face the stress of lodging a formal complaint x0 -

Thanks DF she is a shocker really, I have seen CAB & they say that if I leave as the stress is to much I have a good case for constructive dismissal due to sex & preganancy discrimination.
I dont want to let her win though & I'd lose mat pay if I left now.
I have found the letter thanks, Im off to the library this afternoon to print it off & hopefully that will stop them.
Just worried that if they know how vulnerable I am they may increase the pressure?
Ex Husb is just an irritant compared to the rest lol x0
