    Hi all, my tuppence...lol

I would really appreciate if either we had a separate page for twitter/facebook comps, or if one is posted and I know most do, but to put facebook/twitter in the title, I go to enter a comp that looks pretty good in the title only to open it up and see it's a facebook or twitter comp, I'm sure I'm not the only one here that doesn't do either of these, and would appreciate it too :) Thanks xx

And we would need a process for noting a comp was a regular without everyone wasting their time checking the sticky. Maybe if the OP knows it's a regular they can say added to daily (or whatever) sticky. If the OP doesn't say that and someone else spots it is a regular they can say this is a daily, added to the sticky??

As I've just read your message I'll mention this (I'm not saying which threads as I don't want it to be seen as blaming anyone because it's not that at all [I know it's very easy to forget to do things, I've done it myself at times! :o] more just an explanation of how things can happen.)

In a few threads last week it was mentioned in the OP that they had been sent to me but they hadn't (like I said, no blame being placed as I know it's easy to forget!) I only noticed and added them because I do a search when I've got time of the sites I know add comps on regularly, I can only assume no one else sent them because they thought they'd already been sent as it said so in the OP.
  • I don't have time to do weekly and monthly thread - and pop into the dailies prob once a month or so to check for any new ones: this is because I use the favourites on my browser.

I always comp by end date which is hard at the best of times.

I also specifically search for email entry comps, facebook and twitter comps

don't know if any of my rambling will help but hey ho - off to comp some more.

and p/s I appreciate everyone that takes the time to post. xx
Not really comping any more as too ill - but hoping to win £1000+ in 2017 in cash prizes - watch this space!

I have posted enlessly (it feels like that anyway) on this subject in the discussions thread but to keep it as short as possible, the things I think need to be decided on are: whether we need the regulars forum anymore; how people define a regular; and how regulars should be posted.

My full post here pretty much sums up my opinions.

Good idea....and Blog comps! I wish people would put 'blog' in the title too, I hate these comps, when you do a google search on your username to look for wins, all you see is your blog/comment entries stuck on the web forever!
    Back on it!

I'm not on them either but I always check the threads as some I manage to access without being a member and in the terms it doesn't say you need to be a member of them to enter, so I'll enter and hope for the best! :D

It was just a suggestion sure most of what I wrote can be improved upon :) How about "this is a daily, added to the sticky, LINK" (with a link to the post on the sticky)? xx

Oh I know, it's a really good suggestion, I just meant that sometimes putting these things into practise it doesn't always work quite as well as you'd hope, I only mentioned it because it directly related to what you'd said.

Edit: Meant to say yeah having the link to the post on the sticky would be fab as people would be able to see where it was! :D

I think posting them to the end of the sticky is the best option, not that I mind people PM'ing them to me at all but for times when I know I'm not going to be able to update the thread I'm going to turn my PM's off, so it's good that people know the alternative way of informing me (and everyone else) about a thread! :D

just a couple of points to discuss :)

a lot of people are asking for all comps on the main boards with links to reg comps in the regs board, but if it is decided to put all comps on the main board there wouldn't be a regs board

and would all the draw type comps, with no end date, cause problems as they would all be on the main board too

I'm still quite new to this - I only ever use the main board as don't have time to trawl through others. Seems to work very well in my opinion in terms of the end dates, descriptions of comps etc.

Thanks to all users that post comps - much appreciated! :j
