I am not a regular user of the Regulars Board but occasionally I glance through and add a few of the comps to my favourites.
My query is if the regulars were in the main board, and bearing in mind I do all my comps the day before the end date, then wouldnt it be too late for people who do it this way to enter. That is, if the comp ended tomorrow I would only be able to enter today and would have missed all the other days.
Have I misunderstood this, if so could someone please put me in the picture.2008£3002009£13002010£15002011£41952012£21942013£1494

I never use the Regulars Board, so would prefer all comps. to be on the Main Board personally.Wins since 2009 = £17,600MANY THANKS TO ALL OPS0

I would like to see all comps on one board and less confusion. Too many stickys as well - perhaps one giant all you need to know sticky as well as compers inn.Total 2019: £3972 - Best win this year £3000
2018 total £4062/2017 total £2260/ 2016 total £2025/ 2015 total £3809.0 -
Im with what seems the majority - all comps to be posted on the main board and then a link made to the regular board.
Not many regular comps have no end date, those that do could have, maybe the end of the year for the benefit of the main board, and then when linked to the regular board, whoever 'loads' it onto that board can add it without an end date. I would assume that most people who enter by end date only would only pick up a comp once no matter how many times you can enter, and if they do like to enter regulars, then im sure they would be using the regulars board and picking them up that way anyway.
I like the regular board, and think it def has its place, personally, i only use the dailies, but there are lots who do use the weekly and monthly ones and i think while there are people who do use it, and people prepared to update them (which they would be doing whether its posted on the main board or just the regular board) then i think they should stay.0 -
If you're asking what options to put on a poll I think there only needs to be:
1) Post regular comps in the regulars board and non regular comps in the main board.
2) Post all comps in main board then if it's a regular move it to regulars with a trace that it has been moved and add a link to the sticky thread
3) Post all comps in main board and add a link to the sticky thread if it's a regular.
Then all that's needed is a definition of regular (would this need a poll too?) if so, suggestions:
1) Same URL, same prize, no new answers needed
2) Same URL, prize can vary, no new answers needed
3) Same URL, prize can vary, new answers needed occasionally (keep unlocked for new answers)
4) Same company (e.g. TAB), different URL, new answers/links needed occasionally (keep unlocked for new links/answers)
(I'm sure that list can be improved upon?)
And we would need a process for noting a comp was a regular without everyone wasting their time checking the sticky. Maybe if the OP knows it's a regular they can say added to daily (or whatever) sticky. If the OP doesn't say that and someone else spots it is a regular they can say this is a daily, added to the sticky??0 -

I agree with others. Post on main board then rather than it being moved, just put a link on the regulars - I thought this was how it was done anyway. I hadn't realised they got moved. Hope the regulars board can stay. xxStarted comping 01.01.2010. There's another type of competition that gets missed until the last draw when entering by end date and that's those on the main board that say for example E: 16/03 but have individual competitions that end on certain (non regular) dates before that, so draws E: 11/01, E: 18/02 and the the last one as the end date on the thread.
I think maybe competitions like these should have each draw posted seperately with their own individual end date in the title and then mentioned inside the post that it's a continuation of the previous thread with a link for reference? For the benefit of people that enter by end date?0 -
Here's my bit:
I put the £2000 monthly Aviva comp on the regulars (to save getting into trouble) Yesterday it had 91 thanks. A similar comp - £2000 Real Deal on the main board had nearly 1000 thanks. Now thats at least 900 people missing the Aviva comp. On the other hand that means I have a 90% better chance of winning itBack on it!0 -
I would prefer all comps to be posted on the main board and then a link sent to the regulars board. You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
