  • I am interested in your comment about no VAT mcculloch, my MIl is on higher rate disability, and has just had her roof repaired, amongst other things - VAT was a large chunk of the price, as you can imagine, do you have any info you wouldn't mind sharing with me about this? Thanks

I should have put 'no VAT for items bought specifically because I am disabled'. I'm still investigating if I can get the VAT off purchases I've made from Argos, an electric bed to be precise.
I just bought a riser-recliner chair before Christmas and did get the VAT off that.

  • That's very interesting, I'm going to make a few calls tomorrow, thank you.x

PP thinking of a gift for your daughter - when mine completed her gcses last year we got her a pandora bracelet - at 16 it seemed a good gift and we could add to it with her life achievements and it is a lovely memory for her to look back upon - at the moment she just has the bracelet with an owl (for her wise study) but i am looking forward to filling it with many other memories for her and hopefully she will continue it

Sounds like it been a mix of eventful days and lovely roast dinners.

Well wedidn't go out today, the wind picked up, it was dark and both boys just wanted to play with they lego.

So instead we just stayed in while my OH sat in the corner ill. But its been productive so far.

Made tons of pastry for next week.

    So far so good.

Four mini quiches, four rhubarb rolls, 6 large buns and a large quiche.
The boys and OH demolished most of the rhubarb tarts, the little monkeys.

Going to attempt to make some kind of mini sausage and veg pies tomorrow. Were having a freezer month, and found three lots batch mince i think. Well it either that or really dodgy offal curry, i hope its not because its foul.

Well i'm off to bed, i'm shattered and the winds finally calmed down. What makes you wanna bet its starts up again as soon as i go to bed!
