    Buenos Tardes

Well rather overcast here today, still warm, but not quite sitting out, though OK for a stroll. Maybe a good job for I have spent most of the day on the box, looking at suitable properties for DH & GF to consider buying around London:eek::eek::eek: They will have to pay more for a flat than our detached bungy:o Of course, having to bring their expectation down to ground level, they have to find a suitable area that they can afford and that is not easy. Obviously my knowledge of London is zilch, so have found a tube map, districts, post codes, and keep trying to relate them together:o

Worked out my WW points so I could have lean bacon, egg and tomatoes with mushrooms and some bread for tea, just fancied it.

Breakfast was Weetabix with banana, and lunch crispbread with a smidgen on cheese, have 8 points left for today, to have some sort of pudding later. Still only used 1 of my weekly points, as to me I am not really eating much different.

 I think this just proves how un-OS I am......I've often wondered why my hoover didn't have one of those brush attachments for hoovering tops of skirting boards, shelves etc but figured as it was a cheapo Tesco one it didn't have attachments.....just hoovered today and accidentally pulled the hoover too hard so it upended, and out of the bottom of it popped the brush attachment :rotfl: it's been there all along and I never knew it!! :o I've had the hoover 18months! :rotfl:

  • Hi Guys!

Didn't have a good night last night and got about 2 hrs sleep due to being in a lot of pain. Nurse was good this morning as I was in tears and I'm not usually one to cry, but I was so fed up and frustrated:o...she worked her magic and was feeling a lot better when she went an hour later.

OH roasted the rest of the veg that needed using including courgettes, red pepper, onions, carrots, little bit of garlic and a manky parsnip. He then used 2 value stock cubes with boiling water, added the roasted veg to it and simmered for 20 minutes. Then he added some Tabasco and blended and it's delish! Has made about 2 litres, so will freeze some for lunches.

WM has been on and DW.

We have 4 hospital visits this week....lucky me:D

Hairdresser coming tomorrow and I'm having what little hair I have chopped into a pixie cut. It's so thin and balding a bit at the back, so my hairdresser said that if we cut VERY short, it may stop it going completely as there be no weight on my head IYWIM. I've tried the wigs but they itch like crazy. OH keeps telling me to shave but I just can't do that yet.

DD got her list of GCSE dates last week:eek::eek::eek:.....her last exam is on the 28th June, so want to do something special for her....any ideas? There's 14 in total but her mock results were great, so she should be fine. She needs 5 x A-B grades in academic subjects to get on the level she wants too, so we will see. She has a lot of determination and quite bright, so she'll be fine:)

OH has done a couple hrs of ironing today....think he's been keeping out my way as ive been quite snappy:o He has a few full days off this week, so will do some jobs that need doing around the house. Front inside step needs painting, woodwork needs sanding and prepped (sp), toilet skirting painted.

Anyway, hope you're all keeping okay and glad you're okay Aussie. JackieO-hugs to your DGD and hope she feels better soon. If Ive missed anything else major...sorry, not read all of them.

Molly41.... Great that you finally finished the form - I still have mine to do but I have phoned DLA and explained that I have two important hospital visists which will tell me what the next course of action will be and that I wanted to wait to fill my form in so that it is accurate - The woman on the phone was reallly lovely and said it was ok to wait but to try to get it in by March so that is what I will do.
Had a quiet day today only one load of washing :jwhich is done
Dinner tonight was roast turkey with cauli mash, brussels and a lc gravy, the rest of the family had roast potatoes and y. puds with theirs. It is hard but I am determined to get at least 4 stone off this year.
I have enough meat left over for lunch and a curry tomorrow night plus enough for a stir fry on Tuesday and the carcass is in the stock pot making stock that can be used as a soup base for Wednesday :) Not bad for a Turkey that only cost £5 :D

DH has just washed up and DS is cleaning out the Rabbit.

The plan for tonight is to make some flax bread tonight for DH cos he can't do without his beloved bread on a low carb diet :p I will make some revolution rolls as well.

I have heard that it is going to turn bitter again by the end of Jan as well Honeybee and it is likely to last into February - Time to get the thermals out again girls.

well i had better get my bum in gear and get on
    Sweet dreams all x

    Evening all

I hope you all had good days today and got the things done that you wanted to. Hugs to poorlies and worried.

Mild and wet here today. I have been drying clothes and the house is like a laundry! Really need to replace my tumble dryer. OH bought a new telly today:eek: Not OS but needed. Although.....we had the last one nearly ten years ago as a gift for OH doing 30 years with the Post Office.

Did a root veg and bean stew for tea with dumplings. Yummy-DH loves it and there is plenty left for tomorrow. Just the thing for a meatless day-that's the second this week. The first was quorn curry. I do it with peppers and mushrooms and onions and a bit of Patak's curry paste, dried coriander and cumin.

Well work tomorrow but going to the OS meet in Birmingham this Saturday and travelling up with OH on Friday. Yeay get to stay in a hotel! ;) Will pack a bottle of fizz...............

    Have a lovely evening.
