Yeah and I think the moderators should be looking into Jamespir comments and give him a fair use policy. You're not singing anymore. You're not singing anymore. T-Mobile (inc the troll) lost and the voice of the people was heard and we won.

    ive not lost anything ;)

ive never heard of mobile networks throttlling speeds but i have found both orange and tmobile are really slow this morning so it could be a lot of people downloading stuff

  • I am looking at still getting out. Although they have left things as they are i would not be surprised to see something else from T-Mobile like this.

I communicated with them about 5 times on Tuesday that i wanted out and i am going to try and use that as a way of getting out of the term.

The past few days have been some of the worst CS i have ever known, the lies and bull coming from T-Mobile.

So how would I go about now complaining to Ofcom about the service and treatment from T-Mobile customer services? I was continually refused a PAC and was told on several occasions the Ofcom regulations do not apply.

I looked on Ofcom's website but they don't seem to make it easy to complain, unless I'm missing something obvious!

Just add it to the list of things of which you are ignorant.

Download Speedtest app from Android market (on the assumption you are on an Android handset of course)

And if you aren`t on HSPDA, you will notice in you notification bar the the H changes to a G.

And t-mobile do throttle speeds on their Internet Booster. You can only get up to 350Kb/s when using that (a fact that is NOT mentioned when you sign up)

A quick call to customer services playing dumb and asking why its so slow did the trick for me as they added WnW to my account "to see if it helped" so i now get the 3GB limit and unthrottled speeds (of around 1800 Kb/s when on HSDPA)

How do we know what the speeds should be?

I've just run a few speed tests on my phone.

    downpload: 172, 83, 136, 243, 120 all kilobits/second
    upload: 105, 74, 1350, 103, 125

1350 stands out a bit! That seems slow to me. The phone says "H" reception...

(edit 2: got the download and upload wrong way round!)

it can be anything up to 7.2mb/s but its like normal broadband depends how far you are from the mast and any environmental things that slow down the signal
