if i upgrade eith t mobile today will i keep 3gb internet or will i be capped at 500mb from feb?0

Reading into this it looks like the tiers are going to be
Wnw 1GB down to 500MB
Wnw+ 3GB down to 1GB
Wnw Max 10 down to 3GB
It'll be interesting to see what happens on 1st of Feb because if Smart phones come with Wnw+ maybe they'll come with 1GB instead of 500MB. Which I think i could work with but as is aid before i'll let my friend in retail build my next upgrade in hope i keep my 3GB lol
Still 1GB would be more than other networks0 -

I think I read some time ago that Everything Everywhere planned to position T-Mobile as the 'budget brand' and Orange as a 'premium' one, which rather made me kick myself for not seeing this whole mess coming. I would be surprised if TM are permitted to one-up Orange in any respect at all, in the long term.
The company are 50/50 they are the value network and value would mean keeping the 3GB but alas didn't happen. I don't think its a case of "not being allowed to one up orange". I state this claim on the fact that T-mobiles lower end tariffs ARE better value for money alas the value point.
Plus the 2 networks are still "competing for customers" meaning that they will try and do better deals than the other just orange want people on higher priced tariffs and t-mobile on lower end tariffs.0 -
Would it be wise for all those who actually received a written notifying of FUP reduction to seek a personal written retraction and a written re-statement of their plans' inclusions?
The service agent didn't seem convincing when he agreed to respond in writing so I've just emailed this to T-Mobile:{On 10th Jan you text me:
"We wanted to let you know that from 2nd Feb the fair use policy amount for internet on your phone will be 500MB a month. For details see t-mobile.co.uk/datachanges. If you do reach your limit don't worry, you'll still be able to browse and use email"
I request a personally addressed retraction and a full reinstatement of my price plan including "unlimited" (3GB FUP) in writing please. Breach of trust means no future trust and a personally addressed commitment is required.}
A bit aggressive, but that's what you get when you breach someone's trust0 -
T-Mobile don't seem know the difference between GB and Gb. One is eight times the other.
If they do know the difference then for the 3Gb plan read 0.375GB (approx 375MB) !... surely not another trick ?! Why should I doubt the ethical TM?0 -
Hmm, but apparently the reason people were able to cancel is because they didn't give 30 days notice.
What's to stop them leaving it at 3GB, then deciding to cut it back again but with more than a month's notice?
Can we still cancel now anyway? That way I can keep my free phone and only pay one month of my contract, and sign up again before 1st February to get the 3GBThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

It's the contract change to your detriment that allows the cancellation, so as long as you are in contract and they do change it you would again be entitled to cancel.
As they are not changing existing contracts now the clause to terminate doesn't apply (as we have not had a detrimental change to our contracts).====0
