Tmobile changes fair use policy to 500MB?

Is everybody simply looking for an excuse to get out of their deal early?
I only ask as I made 2 calls to t-mobile and without a great deal of fuss they've given me the mobile broadband plus booster for ~£5 per month and added a loyalty discount to my account to cancel out the fee, and confirmed that this booster won't be reduced from 3gb in February.
I would be happy with this but this is the first I have seen of this being offered.
I am holding fire a few days because I believe they will undo this change for existing customers due to the flood of bad publicity they are receiving and the cost to them of cancelling all the contracts.0 -

This was sold as a necessary part of core services as the representatives outlined the need for higher usage on smartphones. Hence even if they are allowed by their term to change again use policy they cannot in anyway argue it to be fair. And the jaffa cake analogy was totally irrelevant. T-mobile are making such pathetic arguments. Are you the MD perchance?
i dont work for tmobile
it was sold with unlimited internet subject to a fair usage policy ......... it wasnt sold with 3gbReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. the unlimted internt bundle is an extra
My contract is as follows
300 mins
300 sms
unlimited internet.
PLUS PLUS PLUS
an unlimited SMS add on. I can change this at any time to an alternative add on.
You see? The extra is the unlimited SMS. NOT the internet.
Do you understand yet?0 -

yes but it does not say 3 gig and they class the internet as an add on you get two out of a choice of five in some contracts the internet one is already added so you just get to choose one otherReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. I have just spoken to tmobile re: this whole subject, was told that they are now investigating this matter internally and their CS person said that existing customer "probably" will recieve notification soon that this change will not affect them and will only apply to new customers. I Asked when would i recieve this info and was told unsure but to hang on.......
She also said she would record my name as a person who was unhappy (1 of thousands i suppose) as i said I will give you a couple of weeks and if have not heard back would be cancelling my contract with them.
Asked if i would be charged or data usage capped in the meantime and she said no. Told her i was recording the conversation so if i was i would have the conversation a proof.0 -

I know its a long shot but was she called charlie?TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
i have an android phone the internet on the phone is compulsury but the internt bundles are not they are extraS
look i joined t mobile specifically because they (T-MOBILE) told me my fair use policy would be 3gb,
i asked whether i would be charged for going over 3gb they said no. (not that that matters)
now they are reducing their main selling point (in my case) by 80%
i use a lot of media when im out and about, and if they didnt include the 3gb internet i would have gone elsewhere and not to t-mobile.
so in my case and im sure many others, they are really trying to shaft us!0 -
