    dont they have to give us 30 days notice for what they are doing?

    on their twitter page they replied to a few customers saying

    "T-Mobile can change non core services as long as reasonable notice has been provided"

    As they stated, they are trying to invoke 7.1.2 for the change, as they are considering it an 'Additional service'. This states 'reasonable notice' is provided. It seems they should be using 7.1.3:

    We can suspend, change or withdraw Your Price Plan or Price Plan Services. We will give You Written Notice 30 days before We do so. The change will then apply to You once that notice has run out.

    However, neither of these invokes a sub clause in 7.2.3 to cancel without charge, as these only relate to 7.1.4 (which doesn't appear to apply):

    We can increase any Price Plan Charge. We will give You Written Notice 30 days before We do so. The change will then apply to You once that notice has run out.

    However Ofcom 9.3 states this:

    Where the Communications Provider intends to modify a condition in a contract with a Consumer which is likely to be of material detriment to the Consumer, the Communications Provider shall:
    (a) provide the Consumer with at least one month’s notice of its intention detailing the proposed modification; and
    (b) inform the Consumer of the ability to terminate the contract without penalty if the proposed modification is not acceptable to the Consumer.

    I think this should be applicable and preside over T-Mobiles terms.

    That is the point I am making, notice or no notice, isn't it ment to be 30 days?

    Plus what I mentioned about the internet as a core service,
    as they are saying they can change a non core service without the customer terminating their contract

    According to 2.11.2 in their T&Cs it
    is supposed to be 30 days.

    2.11.2. If You are a Consumer and the change is of material detriment to You, We will send You Written Notice 30 days before the terms and conditions are due to change. The new terms and conditions will apply to You once that notice has run out, unless You terminate Your Agreement with Us within that notice period. If You do this You won’t have to pay any Cancellation Charge that would otherwise apply, see point 7.2.3.2.

    Also ofcom 9.3

    9.3 Where the Communications Provider intends to modify a condition in a contract with a Consumer which is likely to be of material detriment to the Consumer, the Communications Provider shall:
    (a) provide the Consumer with at least one month’s notice of its intention detailing the proposed modification; and
    (b) inform the Consumer of the ability to terminate the contract without penalty if the proposed modification is not acceptable to the Consumer.

    As for tmobile saying "unlimited" internet is not part of their core service here are the definitions from their T&Cs

    http://support.t-mobile.co.uk/resources/sites/TMOBILE/content/live/DOCUMENTS/0/DO117/en_GB/36014777_Online_TCs_v1.pdf

    ‘Additional Service’ an optional/extra Service which can be added to Your Account, the Charges and terms and conditions for which are set out in Our “What It Costs (Non Standard Charges)” booklet and Our customer literature;

    ‘Price Plan Service’ the inclusive Service supplied with Your Price Plan, the charges and terms and conditions for which are set out in the ”What It Costs” booklet for that Price Plan;

    ‘Service’ a service provided to You by Us including the Price Plan
    Service and any Additional Service;

    Clearly the included "unlimited" data, according to their definitions, is not an additional service since it is not optional.

    Incidentally, "Capped Data Rate" is not new, and isn't anything to do with this change - I've long had this on my account, despite always having an Internet service. It means that, if you were to not have any Internet allowance, you would be on T-Mobile's standard plan that caps at £1 per day.

    I have Flext 40 + Web'n'Walk Plus, but I've never seen the Web'n'Walk on my plan page in My T-Mobile, only on my bill (but it is there).

    I agree with this. That is exactly what I always had on my bills before any change.

    This clause refers to the changing of their Terms and Conditions though, not the changing of services. They're not amending the T&C's as far as I'm aware.

    Really? So you would happily pay for a product and then remain happy when 83% of it is removed yet you have to pay 100% of the price?

    What?????

    We all pay for 3gb/1gb and they are taking that away from us, are you crazy?

    Do you work for t-mobile? That's as ludicrous as a company that pays its employees 25k saying 15 is a lot so we'll just pay u that and u still do the same amount of work. What u wrote is as offensive as the comment to use your home broadband despite paying for the service

    Not sure if you are trolling but that

    1. Depends on your usage patterns
    and
    2. Is totally irrelevant anyway if 3GB was what you agreed to on taking out the contract
