I refused and called back - got through by selecting 'other enquiries about changing number' or something. (Think it was options 2, 2, 3 rather than 2, 2, 2).
However, they won't agree to cancel. But once a manager has said no you can proceed to the next step in the Code of Practice complaints procedure.0 -
I will try once again and this time ask to speak to a manager and get their name so I can then send my letter.0

been told that there is no way their computer will take off the termination fee and that if i cancel they will request the termination fee from me.0

Once they refuse just send them a letter before action. There is no need to follow their code of practise, there is nothing they do or have you sign that overwrites your rights as dictated by statute.0

So we need to speak to a manager and get them to say no before anything else? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

According to the comments here somebody got the deadlock confirmation by email and has already taken it to CISAS, so I guess that's the quickest way. I've already sent a letter so I might as well wait for a reply.0 -
I think for now, as I havent received notification yet I am going to carry on regardless. If I was to get in touch today they could say that I have been notified. If, comes Feb 1 the FUP has gone down on my account I will then start the process of cancelling the contract. However until then I will still be taking part in the thread.0

Very annoyed at this, I've only had the phone about a week and it's a 24 month contract. I would've gone with Three if it weren't for T-Mobile's 3GB limit. For me it was a key selling point.
When I spoke to them on the phone, they first told me the web n' walk and web n' walk + limits were 1gb and 3gb respectively. Then when I said I'd read online about this, they said they'd both be changing to 500mb (they can't seem to keep their story straight!). Don't get why anyone'd pay more for WnW+ if it's the same limit as she said the speeds were roughly the same!
I've complained to Ofcom and would highly advise others to do so too, if enough of us complain it might spark an official investigation.Meanwhile, Ofcom has suggested that it could investigate the change in T-Mobile's terms and conditions if the regulator receives a sufficient number of complaints regarding the matter. An Ofcom spokesperson told ZDNet UK on Tuesday that "some complaints" had been received, but the number is not yet clear.

They seem to have managed to handle this every but as badly as vodafone did.0

Bewere of leading it till 1st Feb as you must tell them of your issue with the change before it takes effect. I intend to leave it late on the basis that then I cab argue that they did not notify me in a reasonable time. I already called them but I should still get written notification (a text counts, but I gave had nothing yet)0
