Simply dont know whether to believe him or not. I mentioned the text on the T-Mobile website. He suggested in future I ring CS with any issues like this. Sounded a bit like a fob off.
Infairness he is right the store is not customer service they will have very limited access to accounts and information they are retail sales staff not CS.
Also infairness they probally have not been told.0 -
And of course, they'll still be selling on the old limits! At the very least it's under-handed.
As a person who has worked in retail I find that a very nasty and uncalled for comment. A lot of time sales staff are not updated and it is not their fault they can only go on the information they are provided at hand no need to be soo !!!!!y0 -

The staff aren't getting properly informed. Was on the phone to them there and the guy didn't know. He seemed pretty annoyed that he hadn't been properly informed, too. I wouldn't have a go at the call taking staff so much as the management/decision makers here, who should have informed all staff and updated the shops adverts, website, etc BEFORE making this change. I mean, if someone buys into a contract just now (while it's being advertised as 3GB)... yet they're telling current customers (well, some of them) that this is getting reduced... how can this not be considered false advertising?
He said that most apps would likely be counted as webpages due to the nature of the way they work, thus not cut off if I went over the data allowance (which he said would apply to YouTube, streaming music, etc).
I'm just glad I didn't sign up for Spotify Premium and use the Android app as my main source of music, 500mb would never last a month.0 -

The comment is aimed at the Company as a whole, not the individual sales staff. How can any reputable company make a major change to its products but still allow staff to continue selling inaccurately to customers? It's not just instore staff, their online sales staff are misselling as well.
I'm sorry you didn't like the comment, but I stand by it.0 -
What a stupendously badly handled piece of PR for T mobile.
Someone in that company should be shown the door.0 -
Below is a link to a draft letter of complaint about T-Mobile's behaviour.
You'll need to edit it for your own circumstances.
At the top of the linked page is Ofcom's email address. They have stated that if enough people complain to them, they will investigate T-Mobile.

OK, neither myself nor the wife have had any text. Whether we exceed the new limit is immaterial surely? They cant change the contract terms and not tell us?
So do we have to complain via CS first, or can we go straight to writing to them?
Mrs - Flext 35 including WnW+ 18 months - so hers is included as part of her plan, so a straigh forward breach in changing it = cancel?
Mine - 1200mins + unlimited internet + free landline booster + free unlimited texts booster (only 2 boosters, and as android internet part of plan by default).
I dont use all my minutes or texts (FUP obv) either, so are they NOT going to text me and pull these as well?
How can they do it with data and get away, yet anything else we'd have solid grounds for cancelling that they'd honour.
If the 500mb limit applies and I can switch, then as they now share with tmob so I get signal at home, I'll simply move back to Orange. It'd suit me fine.0 -
Anyone know where the call centre staff are based?
As I have just had a supervisor blatantly lie to me about how this would also affect him....TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -

God knows where they are. The people i have spoken to today are not UK based.
Have just had a voicemail from t-mobile telling me that the termination fee does stand.0
