How does it not affect them? If they have T-Mobile contracts to they have the same T&Cs.

Not if they are clearly not based in the UK.

The Which? link isn't clickable. I'm a Which subscriber (hard copy). Is there a page on the Which? website I can view please?

I am exactly the same as you. HTC Android 3GB included (April 2010). In fact delivery was so late I have I have a written response to a complaint I made back then that concludes:
"I hope you see an an improvement in our service and that your future dealings with us are both smoother and more enjoyable"

    What a joke !!

Fairly obvious tip, but when i was on the phone to them they offered me a free months rental if i waived the right to cancel and accepted the changes, i told them quite firmly that i was not interested in any such offer.

And again later i was offered this by the supervisor who told me it wouldn't affect my right to cancel and that it was purely a goodwill gesture, given this came just after he tried to lie to me about how this would affect him... I again told him no way.

So just a word of warning do not accept any sweetener they may offer you.

  • I was just thinking. The comment tm said about if you want to download use your home broadband. It's as daft as if they said we don't recommend using smartphones for calls, its much better to use a landline. Do they think that is persuasive? Do they not realise that however apathetic a person might be they will rise up when treated unjustly ad shown by the fact this only came to light yesterday. They are digging themselves in a ever enlarging hole as they sink to new depths every time they open their proverbial orifice.

They're simply proving the never intend to honour what we've all been sold, which is why so many are now mentioning 'bait & switch'.

Whether you use more than 500mb currently or not, it's a fundamental change to your contract. Not telling you isnt on.
  • I wonder if they might have screwed themselves by also saying that if you want to keep the 3GB limit you can but you must pay and extra £12.99. That implies that all they are doing is trying to squeeze more money out of everyone.
  • Have also e-mailed ofcom.

One question guys, I have an Android phone (HTC Hero) purchased through a third party.

I'm not clear if I have 1GB or 3GB. Is there any way I can check?

My online bills (before they changed it the cunning *******) stated I am on "Combi 20+web'n'walk (18)"

I have heard mention of web'n'walk PLUS.... is PLUS the 3GB and just normal w'n'w is 1GB?

    Cheers
