So me, incredibledisc and norf all in the same boat.

BT give you a mac no problems.

Be careful jumping ship, will put you in breach of contract and could end in all sort of problems.
I may be jumping ship but I'll be sure to cancel my RT account and cough up for the PC as I've upgraded far too many bits of it to send it back now. Surely me signing up to another ISP will be fine so long as I close my account with RT, right?

who would i speak to to get a Mac code would it be Redten or njp
  • Unfortunately in my experience telling them that you're going to record the call just makes them say they're going to refuse to be recorded. Then you get nowhere.

    Colderuk,

I wouldnt worry, by the sounds of things you are going to get your supply for free seeing as clode have pulled you contract. Did you get your pc from them?

IIRC it was 500 if you cancel in the first year, 400 during the second and 300 in the last year. I signed up right at the start so I'm certainly in to my second year. The PC is the TV, hi-fi, movie player, weather station and more besides. So there's no danger of it being allowed to leave the house - my better half would have me guts for garters ;) Hell, not having to talk to RT on the phone would be worth £££ alone.

:T I take my hat off to you for your telephone crusade :T but I just don't have the time [read: patience] to do that ;). I'm going to mull it over but definitely get the ball rolling tomorrow.

yes i did it was the laptop that never turned up had the internet since december and haven't paid anything suppose i could just leave it and see what happens
  • £400, sorry, thought you had just started.

Still alot of money for a rubbish pc but I see where you're coming from that's for sure!

Finally got off the phone to the manager, he's answered all my questions and I don't think I can do anymore to speed things up. Unfortunately we'll be without internet for another week tho. Got to put in writing my claim for my money back that I've paid for internet for these 2 and a half weeks.

He confirms that it's an unlimited service but I'm not too sure. He says if it turns out that it's not then they'll sort that out when it happens. Don't think he'd say that if he's sure that it's unlimited.

Thanks for all the support guys, see you on the other side!
