  • Hi Guys

    Tried this morning, no luck.

Called NJP today as my ADSL order said 'in process' - the guy on the line said everything was set up and amazingly the staus changed to 'complete' (he said he did it manually.

Came home ready to phone 0905 and blast Redten - tried connecting first and got on first time after changing username (typing from my home PC) - speeds seem the same if not a bit faster.

Now to see if the service is capped and how they are going to charge me...
  • welcome mark. Nice to see some people manage to get access so easy.
  • colder, I'd keep that last bit to yourself if I were you!

20 minutes and still waiting for someone to answer. Even when they do it's gonna be another wait for the manager, I've e-mailed him and told him to be ready, I should have a place already in the queue!

Thanks - it does seem easy but like everyone I've been phoning all week to speak to monkeys...the guy at Redten resorted to just saying 'hello?' last week I think he was a bit hacked off - I did ask how many contract renewals they expect in November 2009 :rotfl: I think I speak for everyone that we will be going elsewhere.

I'm currently on hold to Redten also to clarify the capped business and to see if they will try to charge an extra £9.95 for the home max lite malarky on top of the clode payments...

I'm busy hammering the downloads and testing XBOX live to see what happens
  • 27 mins, 32 secs. asked to speak to the manager and they've cut me of again, I'll re-try, each time getting a little more angry and expecting a little more in compensation all the time!
  • Oh, also - has anyone sent this thread link to Redten?

Anyone else noticed that NJP now seem to have the card details of the card used to pay for the £50 sign / deposit??? (see the NJP logins / payment / card payment section)

This is VERY dodgy. What gives Redten the right to give MY credit card details to a third party.

IMO - if we were to be charged on said card for excess use on our 'unlimited' service, surely this could constitue credit card fraud.

They should at least wtire to me and tell me of any change first before they put something like this in place.

I AM TRUELY SICKENED BY THIS LATEST PATHETIC TWIST FROM THIS INEPT COMPANY.

To think I left AOL cause I thought they were rubbish, at least I could speak to someone on the pone when I called them (an at least I never go cut off on my broadband and on ponecalls to thier customer service team).

Anyone else noticed that the dont even ansewer the phone in a professional manner? - eg Stating the company name, saying their name and asking how they can help you.

Whenever I have got through to them I am met with som idot saying just 'ello' and then there is an awkward silence when I ask them if im through to redten and !!!!!! they are up to. I have never had a straight answer off of them either.

And their laptop is pretty rotten too...

    ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNGRRRRRRRRRRRRYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!

I doubt it, they've got plenty of work to do without reading through all this. They already know how we feel about them!

I guess I'm behind you in the queue again? 12 mins so far.

Grumpy teenage daughter confirms that we're back online.

Speed is 5408Kb/448Kb a tad faster than prev.

Interestingly it looks as though I've been allocated a fixed IP (I don't know how often they reallocate but the status page has shown me with the same IP all week) and I can connect to my home router from work.

BJM and all that are still trying to get through on the phone to RT, when you call them tell them that the call is being recorded for legal reasons, maybe they'll be less likely to cut you off!

As to my situation, I didn't receive a letter, I am waiting to be hooked by Sky, which will be today or tomorrow.

I am not phoning RT or NJP, as the way I see it, in 2 months time or so, when RT will probably go bust, my details were not passed to NJP, therefore no-one at NJP will know that I was ever a RT customer, apart from Clode, when I then cancel my DD as I have no connection with RT/NJP Clode will have to do the digging to prove that I am getting my internet from NJP, hopefully RT would have lost most of the paperwork by then. I am certainly not going to help them either way.
