I still can't get connected.
As I say, I'm a simple soul when it comes to technical things and cannot find out how to adjust any other settings on my speedtouch modem other than username and password...so no doubt the fault is with me????0 -
Dont think so as checking over all my settings I didnt need to change anything but my username (password was even the same)0

I don't know where you folks are based, but maybe sunny Norfolk isn't high on their list of priorities.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Hi guys, new here, drawn here by the magic of google combined with the ineptitude of Redten....firstclassidiot wrote: »Hi there, I have netgear DG834N and only needed to change username and password in the basic settings. If you are getting the message regarding chap authentication failed it is because you cannot access the redten server as they had shut down their server. It is now up and running again and I have been able to log on to the server via the new settings just this pm.
hope you have better luck soon.
I have a Netgear DG834N, have put in the new details but still (as of this morning) getting the 'CHAPS Authentication Failed' message. I spoke to NJP yesterday lunchtime who confirmed that my line had been activated as of 5AM yesterday, and to speak to Redten if it wasn't working. Eventually got through to Redten, they told me that they're not able to log a fault on the first day a line goes active, but that it 'may work in a couple of hours'.... as the couple of hours (and many more since) passed without a working connection I guess I shall be doing battle with the holding music again today0 -
Can anyone lucky enough to have been reconnected confirm whether their "ADSL order progress" in the Members Area states that the order is complete?
I'm not back online yet and my status shows as "in progress" - as you would expect I suppose. I'm just wondering whether I can use this status as a reliable way to check progress from work.
Cheers

Im still not online and getting really ****** off with the whole thing now.
It is a demonstration of how NOT to do customer care - all this buck passing is frustrating.
I have emailed (via the members area) again this morning asking someone to give me a straight answer or I am walking.
NEVER got a reply from Clode to my previous email either - so they are getting both barrels this morning too.0 -
I've been reconnected - and it still says Order in Progress0
