I didn't know Red Ten started issuing PC's as early as Jan 06?0
-
I'll keep you posted, but having spoken to the guy on the phone, I am confident there will be no problem there! They are desperately wanting to shake off the Redten connection to them, I'd say!
This is the reply to one of my emails when I mentioned Redten to them -
"Hi Robert,
Thanks for the positive comments.
We have had to live in the shadow of Redten. Naturally we have been tarred with the same brush customers thinking we just changed our company name. Because a year and a half after they left here, we are in the same building that Redten were!
I wish that was the case myself and my team, wouldn’t have had to spend ages learning all about Redten’s history and all about their PC’s and Routers. Plus I would have personally resigned due to the embarrassment of working for such a crowd and not delivering a service. Although we don’t always get it right, we do try hard to try and treat customers as they would expect to be treated.
Best Regards"
Having said that, I will have to see what happens with the pc??0 -

At last, the truth from Clode, quote: "Plus I would have personally resigned due to the embarrassment of working for such a crowd and not delivering a service."
Not delivering a service being the operative words.
I must say it would have saved us all a lot of grief if they had said that initially, and done the right thing, still I hope it all works out alright for those that are left.
Things certainly look a little brighter, unfortunately I still couldn't trust them again, they did their reputation no favours at all with their lies and half truths.

I dont feel sorry for these guys at all - at the end of the day they knew they were walking into trouble.
Having said that, good on them for trying. Still, the words "touch" and "Bargepole" spring to mind.0 -

This line is confusing "Because a year and a half after they left here, we are in the same building that Redten were!".
It would mean Redten left 1 Finway, Luton around Feb 07, I can asure you they were still there In April last year when i Picked up goods from Savastore/Watford Electronics in the same building! I guess somebody in Luton is getting confused too......

Hi Steve
Pleased to hear you have escaped, just love success stories.
The favourite suppliers seem to be BE or O2 if you are lucky enough to have them supply your area, unfortunately I am not, and have settled for Tiscali, as I live out in the sticks, and LLU is still a couple of years away. I got an excellent deal with Tiscali Talk and unlimited Broadband, which includes unlimited broadband, free anytime calls and line rental all for £19.99 per month. 12 month contract. I think the current cost is mid £20 for the package, but I was paying £20 per month just for the anytime calls from BT, so effectively I am getting free broadband.
There was another company quoted within the last few pages of this thread, which I had never heard of but was supposedly excellent if you want to check back.
Good Luck anyway
Jack

I could've gone for a longer tie-in but given my experience with Redten/NJP/Fatcat/Clode I think the less I commit the better.
Cheers,

I too am now free of the clown 3ring circus, will be with o2 as i am a o2 customer so get a discount. wish all remaining victims good luck am sure you'll soon get free too:beer:0

Hi, still checking periodically to see how everyone's getting on.
I've had an email today to my old redten address from 'Breathe' saying I still owe money which they have not been able to collect and asking me to login and settle the debt. It looks suspiciously like an NJP company. Anyone else had the same?
