Now I've settled with Clode, how do I stop the court process?

Well people we are now sinking to disparaging comments. Not dignified but oh colder , you did make me smile.

Who can forget the beaming smile and giggles from the iraqi pr man as he exhorted how well they were winning and that all was right with the world as it collapsed in and around him. The incongruity of it was too comical for words ( though one cannot forget how he came by his nickname )

I am sure that many people thanked Nick for settling their claims; I hope I remembered to but maybe the hassle made me forget my manners, - can't remember and frankly cannot be bothered to look back my emails.

What I find sad, and disappointing, is that they have not listened to any of the legitimate complaints and comments that have been entered on this forum. They have not learned from their previous reports to OFCOM and OFT.

This is a very bad omen for their future and any future customers they may have; if they had any real genuine desire to become a broadband supplier of some worth.

ANYONE WHO SENDS A PERSONAL COMPANY MESSAGE AND IS NOT WILLING TO PUT THEIR NAME AND TRADING ADDRESS TO IT --SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED AND DOES NOT DESERVE TO BE TRUSTED.

    FC not I

Hi FC have to agree we are sinking to disparaging comments and yes they are undignified, but when someone posts that sort of BS you have to agree it is very, very, hard to resist, and yes I think Colder's post has to be one of the highlights of the forum, Tariq Aziz wasn't it, burbling on while the allied tanks were rumbling past behind him, don't we have a Tariq involved in this little lot as well?

Pity those involved here can't also be tried as war criminals.

As far as thanking Nick goes, I am afraid I must disagree with you regarding manners, my response is, forget it, the only reason he settled with people is because it was cheaper than going to court, had that not been the case we would all be in there fighting still. I only thank people that help me, and for 50 days whilst I was asking for my Mac code he sat there and did nothing, so please forgive me if I decline to offer thanks to someone who steadfastly refused to help, and is still only choosing the cheapest option when he "helps someone".

Nice to see more people joining our happy band of escapees though.

Hi folks, I got my letter this morning confirming that I am now free. I'm going to frame it and put it over my desk as a reminder to be careful before signing up for anything that sounds to good to be true and that if you keep the pressure up you can win the fight against unreliable, unhelpful, shameful and untrustworthy companies.

P.s. anyone wanna buy a 8 month old pc worth £500 lol

Write to the court state your Claim number saying you wish to cancel your action.

Also if you have been settled and you still have a direct debit active cancel it. I doubt you'll get your money back if a automatic payment is due and leaves your bank account. I would also like to thank FCI for her help and Essex for setting up Deadten website and the others for the help over the last 4 months.

    Regards

 I wonder how Clode/Fatcat would cope if all of their dis-gruntled customers cancelled the direct debits at the same time;), headless chickens springs to mind

    Hi All,
I've been watching the forum once a week or so, my situation is that I was able to use the original MAC in March, so moved to Sky unlimited, great service I might add.
Have filed court proceedings against Clown but no news as yet, still getting letters from them asking me to pay £19.99 but I cancelled the DD back in April & sent Nick Davies email telling him why, also asked for deadlock letter but did not receive it. Also refused their settlement of £140, my counter offer was refused as well.
    Just a waiting game now...

I'm off too. finally. I had to fill a claim against clode and nick davies quite quickly emailed me with £100 offer to end my contract. I took in account that hearing could be in several months and my time is more expensive than that I decided to pay it off and just leave this stinky cooperative between clode & redten + cats.

Got my MAC from louise next day and signed up with O2.

thanks everyone and especially deadten.co.uk website.

Looks like one of Martins administrators considered a few posts taking the P sorry mickey out of a clode/fatcat post, to be too contentious, or perhaps too close to the truth :rotfl: to leave them in place, and removed them, shame really as they were highly amusing, perhaps they could be uploaded to deadten for posterity if you still have them please Colder, and I think it was Daftbint who posted the other. There are 6 or 7 posts that have been removed.

It is a shame really as there has been little enough to smile at over the last couple of months.

    Still mystery solved :T
