Very well put FC not I, but I did not notice the fact that you can purchase and download music, films and software from the likes of Amazon and many other companies, also most software upgrades (free or paid for) normally require you to download them from the home server.

We all know that R/T, Fatcat screwed up when they negotiated their deals with backbone suppliers and are trying to make the customer pay for their mistakes.

As far as NJP are concerned they are just out to screw as much out of their customers as possible, and for the life of me I cannot understand why anyone would want to buy bolt on packages, at the prices NJP quote when they can get a genuine unlimited package from BT or other suppliers for a lot less than the NJP equivalent usage.

The only flaw with your assessment is that the reality of Redten is that they appear to have come out of this whole fiasco with their money intact, and the reality is other innocent people have had to suffer and pay.

They do say however that God pays back in mysterious ways, I think it is time we all got out our prayer mats. LOL

There is also a famous quote of " Vengence shall be mine sayeth the Lord " but in the mean time if there is anything I can do to speed things along!! :D

BT,s option 3 unlimited is still subject to their Fair Use Policy and leads to reduced speed after about 50 Gig the main difference to option 2 is they do not charge for bandwidth above their FUP.
    Who cares ??

I too have been released from the contract.
Even though Nick still claimed they were not in Breach in any way shape or form.
but still I am now free to move to a BIGGER supplier with less chance of the same problems. I know sometimes you need to help the smaller companies with trade, but with something as important as Internet, I won't be taking thre same risk again.
Many Thanks to one and all, nearly 6000 posts, just for one company!

Here is the link for people who have asked about their money claim being sent to Northampton County Court when they asked for their local court.

Northampton is the county court for central collection which happens if you submit a money claim online. They will process your claim and serve it on Clode.

Only if Clode refuses to settle and enters a defense will this be then allocated to your stated local court for you both to appear.
If you do not state your preference for your own local court it will be allocated to Clode's local court though there is a proposed change in the processes taking place to automatically lodge at the claimants court when it is a consumer claim though this has not gone through yet.

This is not applicable to Scottish Claims against an English/Welsh supplier or trader which should be pursued through their own Scottish claim procedure which is simpler.

The link above is a good source of advice on the pursuit of your claim. If Clode settle your claim, then this can be processed entirely on line.

Hi All, well done to all those that have suceeded (hopefully we all will!) just sent this email to the relevant clowns regarding the fatcat letter sayin how pleased they were that they are taking on my account (are they taking the Pi**) or what! I have not paid now for 2 months left on day one so next job is to go to court and I don't care what they offer - I want this to go to court now on principal. Southport is a long way from Cardiff!!!

    copy of email:

    Dear Sirs,

    WITHOUT PREJUDICE

    Account Number 538734

In response to your letter dated 20th June 2008, I am refusing to accept your new terms and conditions for the provision of broadband as you clearly state that it would be under the same terms as I had with Redten Communications and after reading your terms and conditions as published on your website they are clearly not the same.

I am therefore still withholding payment to Clode Retail Finance, and will be issueing court proceedings within the next seven days as I do not believe you can offer a service simular to the one that I was being provided with by Redten Communications.

    Yours sincerely

Factcatintermaster, why don't you just do the honourable thing and honour the original terms and conditions of existing customers? That's all we want. It will save you a lot of hassle and money, and maybe restore a bit of your reputation...
If you intend to take on new customers, you could give them different terms and conditions, as long as you were transparent about it.

    Compact Oxford English Dictionary

    • adjective not limited or restricted; infinite.

    Definition
    unlimited adjective
not limited; having the greatest possible amount, number or level:
Passes are available for one month's unlimited travel within Europe.
Demand for health care appears virtually unlimited.

    (from Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary)

    Compact Oxford English Dictionary
    Fair

    • adjective 1 just or appropriate in the circumstances. 2 treating people equally.

    fair
    adjective
1 treating someone in a way that is right or reasonable, or treating a group of people equally and not allowing personal opinions to influence your judgment:
    (from Cambridge Advanced Learner's Dictionary)

So that's plain English easy to understand cant be easily misinterpreted right?.

So how is it fair to restrict a person/persons "Unlimited usage connection" for using a legal application ie: BBC iPlayer/4oD to download and view perfectly legal material.
