There were a few Fast4 customers who complained to Watchdog when there were problems with latency and disconnections, but it came to nothing. As they say, you all have nothing to lose, but the new series will not return until October, and seeing things unfold on this forum and with Fast4 during the last month or two, will things be the same come October?

For any individual cases, there is also Don't Get Done, Get Dom. Series 3 just finished airing on BBC One last week:

Quite a few of us did complain to watchdog early in the dispute, but the case is probably not high profile enough, as I for one received no reply, and to my knowlege no one else who wrote in did either.

Still what the hell if a second wave of complaints were to land on their laptops, who knows?

nothing ventured nothing gained

The sad fact is that the isp business is so full of misleading, miss selling and fly by night companies that none of the consumer advice/protection organisations are really interested its all a rats nest of quangos and self serving groups.
No doubt the near future will provide lots more regulations to be ignored by providers
How can unlimited and fair use policy live in the same sentence?

Pleased to say at least NJP have now removed my @mails and accounts only 1 month after I left
Who cares ??

Oh I don't care if Clode monitor this forum or not, they simply cannot get away with treating innocent consumers like this.

I have complete faith in my case as I haven't done anything wrong but voice my opinion and I intend to defend my case all the way to reclaim what these barstards STOLE from me and I think you lot should all do the same!

Same here, see you at Winchester court Clode.

They can have the PC back and I want my money back.

I got out in April when they placed that 5GB usage on users. BT did a internal home move to stop me going to virgin and on the 8th of April my broadband was back to 8mbps and UNLIMITED with free BT vsion home hub and telephone!

Sir, Fatcat Internet does offer an unlimited service, but to be fair to all our customers, you will find industry-wide that if people use peer to peer programs etc / excessively download and thereby abuse the system there will be notified by our monitoring team.
If any of our Customers would like to know what bandwidth they have used then please email us at accounts@fatcatinternet.com.
Please note we are trying to be fair to all our Customers, and a small minority who abuse the system to the detriment of others. (we have one Customer who downloaded over 30GB in 48 hours; they definitely were not dealing with just emails/normal internet use!!!)
One of my friends who is on ntl (virgin media) got a letter from them stating that he was downloading excessively and hence they will monitor what he downloads and if it is illegal content (i.e. copyright music/movies) they will report him !!!
Again if you have any queries than do not hesitate to email us at cs@fatcatinternet.com

Thank god it dosent apply to me!

To hell with Factcat another name for redten and the most unreliable broadband service.

Anyone thinking of doing Fatcatinternet when the site goes live for orders needs to think about it.

AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID

Thats my rant over.

Happy BT user.

Pleased to say finally got my mac and free of redten forever.
I was one of those who did not get reconnected in March and they have now let me go without penalty. Off now to find a decent ISP.
Many thanks to all those who have contributed for such along period of time and kept everyone else going. Good luck to those who are still fighting for justice. Just keep at it!!

Well done, hope you enjoy better service.

Rember the lessons learned --check for the cowboys in future.

• Hi

I've been keeping an eye on these pages and am just so relieved that I stopped paying my direct debits when our Redten service was originally suspended and have stuck it out refusing to pay anymore to Clode - that said I've been lucky enough to be with sky so have at least had a decent service (even if the router they sent initially blew up!).
I've finally - after loads of letter/calls and mails, been sent a letter from Clode advising me that I have no further laibility for payments on the account and any goods are to be retained. Mind you they still maintain the pretence that Redten have given them instruction to close the account. What finally did it? Threatening to take them to court if I didn't hear within a week. Not sure if that will work for everyone, but it has for me and I am so relieved to be out of this. Lesson learned - if it looks too good to be true, it is.
All the very best of luck to everyone else on here - and thank you so much because it really has helped knowing other people were going through this and also learning a huge amount from a lot of knowledgeable and very helpful people on what action to take.

Very well done and congratulations for your strength of will!!!!!

Maybe others will take courage from that, bite the bullet and say by by to the cowboys.

It will not get better ---it will only get worse.

Happy surfing:T
• Any one else noticed the bandwidth usage have not been reset today on your connection log details ....is it the first of every month they are reset???

NJP have just informed me that as Redten are not paying their bills my service will cease.
They gave me the number for "redten". It was in fact FatCat! They are nothing to do with Redten.
Both Companies can give me a service from £9-98 to £19.99 per month.
I paid for three years up front. They said that I could reclaim it from my credit card but I paid by cheque!!!
Looks like Clode owe me some money!!!

Oh dear, I am so sorry but I am afraid you will have little luck with being able to get anything back from redten.

You could try your insurance or your bank protection insurance if any to see if they can help but as redten really only had the money from Clode and signed all of that to online distribution you will not be able to get your money back.

You can only really complain to the Office of Fair Trading about their actions which were fraudulent as they knew last summer that they were going to do this which is why they took alternative measures to protect their own money.

COMPLAIN as only highlighting these scammers can anything be done about it.
