Just sent my second email to Fatcat's accounts team telling them that their FUP policy does not apply to me as it is not the same as my current t&c s. Don't think it will do much though.

I also have emailed fatcat with respect to there email saying i have breached their FUP, i have asked for the figures concerned and the amount of bandwith that i am allowed to use before being limited on an UNLIMITED account. Wont hold breath for answer tho :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I also noted the "coincidence" of myself phoning their customer services about T&Cs then receiving the email about unfair usage early this afternoon, feels like being targeted for phoning them!

That was the same as me, 2 hours after emailing them to reject their FUP and ask them how an unlimited internet service can be limited I got my first email.

Oh dear... no publicity is good publicity for Redten or Fatcat:

I hope you've all sent a complaint/review in to all the relevant Broadband websites (ie. DSL Zone UK, ISPreview and thinkBroadband). ;):D

Hi all you folks who are involved in the fight against rip off Redten and co.

Please take the time and effort to report your problems with these people on the address above, (and below), it is only joint concerted action by the masses that has given any sort of results, the only way to sort these scam artists is to hit them where it hurts most, in the pocket, by depriving them of potential customers.

Let the world and it's dog know that these jokers are not to be trusted.

As the saying goes "your country needs you" :rotfl:

NJP have just informed me that as Redten are not paying their bills my service will cease.
They gave me the number for "redten". It was in fact FatCat! They are nothing to do with Redten.
Both Companies can give me a service from £9-98 to £19.99 per month.
I paid for three years up front. They said that I could reclaim it from my credit card but I paid by cheque!!!
Looks like Clode owe me some money!!!

Sorry to the bearer of bad tidings but to be honest it will not be Clode that owe you money but Redten, as you paid by Cheque up front you never had any loan agreement with Clode therefore all your dealings were direct with Redten, Yuo can issue a court claim against them in much the same way as others are against Clode, the only problem is that Redten have already had a number of CCJ's against them and appear to be no longer trading, there assets were sold to Fatcat and so they have nothing for you to go after. Your best bet is to get your MAC code and move to a reputable ISP, sorry to say but think you've lost your money for good.

Sir, Fatcat Internet does offer an unlimited service, but to be fair to all our customers, you will find industry-wide that if people use peer to peer programs etc / excessively download and thereby abuse the system there will be notified by our monitoring team.
If any of our Customers would like to know what bandwidth they have used then please email us at accounts@fatcatinternet.com.
Please note we are trying to be fair to all our Customers, and a small minority who abuse the system to the detriment of others. (we have one Customer who downloaded over 30GB in 48 hours; they definitely were not dealing with just emails/normal internet use!!!)
One of my friends who is on ntl (virgin media) got a letter from them stating that he was downloading excessively and hence they will monitor what he downloads and if it is illegal content (i.e. copyright music/movies) they will report him !!!
Again if you have any queries than do not hesitate to email us at cs@fatcatinternet.com

What is considered excessive, the original service had a fair usage policy that restricted usage between peak hours only, Fatcat service just restricts all the time, and what's the deal that you can buy more bandwidth if your restricted are you saying illegal downloads are OK as long as you pay for it. This service is not what people signed up for, are you going to release anyone that does not want to move to Fatcat from their financial obligation ???

There were a few Fast4 customers who complained to Watchdog when there were problems with latency and disconnections, but it came to nothing. As they say, you all have nothing to lose, but the new series will not return until October, and seeing things unfold on this forum and with Fast4 during the last month or two, will things be the same come October?

For any individual cases, there is also Don't Get Done, Get Dom. Series 3 just finished airing on BBC One last week:
