Still no broadband, checked thestatus page and it says: The asset has been ceased or something, just raised a ticket0

Do you think I'm going to have alot of trouble getting my line back, I assume the MAC from BT has run out, Redten don't have it yet so haven't used it yet either. I guess this means that BT will take broadband off my line and it's going to take weeks to get it back again? Does that mean I'm meant to pay £50 again? Not going to be paying anything for their mistake.0

Checked mine before leaving for work this morning and it still wasnt on.
Here's hoping im in an activation queue - ill just check my members area on fast4...
Still says order in progress, on a slightly different note I have had a reply to my question about limited or unlimited. Basically, they dodged the question and came up with this:

Am I getting an unlimited service?17/03/2008
14:46:33Technical SupportNJP Services will very shortly be providing you with internet access in place of BT wholesale: you will however remain a customer of RedTen - NJP Services is simply providing the network backbone connection in place of BT Wholesale who previously supplied this service to RedTen.
I understand however that currently you may not have service due to a ''walled garden'' from BT (a ''walled garden'' is where you are only able to see one webpage on your internet connection regardless of where you try to visit) suggesting your service will be ceased shortly; I can confirm however that orders to move RedTens customer base to NJP Services network is currently going through correctly and does not appear to be affected by any cease or closure requests by BT for your line.
The RedTen customer base should once again have service by the 18th or 19th of March however in the meantime if you have any further queries about these changes, please contact RedTen regarding your account directly on 0844 482 0000
Kind Regards,
Paul

Hmmm, I am sure I have seen that exact email somewhere before, probably on this site.
Hope I am back on at some point today. Will be incredibly annoyed if not.
Edit: just noticed they said 18th OR 19th. Hmmm.. goal posts moving again it seems0 -
Mine is back up..
I downloaded 1gig this morning before leaving for work.
The connection fluctuated for about 10 mins, occasionally dropping connection.
After about 30 mins I was getting an average of 500kb download without dropping.
This is pretty much the same as before the migration.
I'll be downloading at least another gig when I get home so I'll let you know what happens.0 -
The total cost of additional bandwidth usage is shown below. Your current plan includes 2GB of inclusive bandwidth per month (plus any additional Bolt-Ons you may have purchased). Usage above this limit is charged at a rate of £2.00 per GigaByte or part thereof.
You have currently used 1.106 GigaBytes this month. This is calculated by adding 1.075GB of download data to 0.031GB of upload data used this month.
If you know you are going to use additional bandwidth then you can also purchase your bandwidth in advance by using the Bolt-Ons option. From there, you can purchase chunks of bandwidth from as little as £1 per GigaByte.0 -
The plot thickens.
They can forget getting anymore than the 19.99 a month from me.0 -

gnipper, that e-mail has been sent to a couple of people on here I think. Like you say they won't confirm the limit but it's probably not up to them anyway, if Redten want to pay for it then that's up to them.
When the goalposts changed to the 18th they also said it could be the 19th so I don't think they're moving them again just yet.
Remember that NJP said on theregister's report that they would be providing an unlimited service. So I guess we have to rely on that and hope that Redten are going to pay the extra. If the don't or can't then I guess we're back to Clode to get them to provide us with a service that we are paying them for otherwise they're in breach of contract.0 -
when I get over 2gig I'm going to email NJP and RedTen and say "I hope you don't expect me to pay this" and see what happens.0
