  • I would've expected to see a modem on there, because the pc wasn't exactly cutting edge when we received it, the backup service is dial up, and they can be used for other things such as faxes.

If Redten have only 1300 users and they can't be making very much money as they still haven't taken a payment from myself yet in the last 4 months i would imagine there are other people in the same situation i can honestly see they going out of business very soon.

Here's hoping for reconnection tomorrow. No broadband is worse than giving up smoking!

Just had an email from Clode stating that they are going to charge 1.6% interest on Cheque & Debit card payments, (NOT DD payments).

I am assuming they are anticipating that a certain percentage of RT customers have cancelled their DD and therefore will be able to glean a little bit extra money over the next couple of months.

I still have had no response from Clode, since Tuesday last week...

Welcome and thankyou for the news!

Don't think I'm going to be back on for some time as they haven't even got my details from BT yet. Think I'm going to phone BT myself and see if I can't do it faster than Redten.

Can you see if it's unlimited for us, be our guinea pig? Maybe download about 20 gigs and see if they get funny?

You've had broadband for the last 4 months and clode haven't charged you a penny?

Do you think they won't allow people to re-set up their direct debits? Effectively forcing them to use another method of payment?

My BT page has disappeared and my router can detect a signal. When I enter the new login details, it accepts them. and then the CHAP authentication fails! No broadband yet for me- argghhhhh!!!

Out of interest, what speeds are you folk getting?
