yep i was cut off on wednesday I think. On thurday I got the splash page with the 3 options. I chose the MAC button. Called O2 and signed up on thursday morning. ADSL activation scheduled for following thursday. Not too shabby. Plus you get txt updated on how the connection is going..more than I could say about Redten. I was thinking it would be weeks without internet but some firms actually want your business
:j A big thank you to all who have contributed to this thread and I hope everyone manages to get out.

What about your finance agreement? Has that been sorted?0 -
Cut off tue 24th, requested MAC through NJP walled garden screens, signed up with a reputable ISP. Sadly no LLU here yet so it's costing but what price peace of mind?
Glad I took advice from here on not switching to NJP. A phone call to them reinforced that advice - very slippery they were.
Still waiting to hear from card company about getting back some of my 3yrs payments. I hope they agree that total cessation of service could be construed as a breach of contract!
To keep my card company sweet, I forked out £1.50 to see what RT support had to say. They weren't sure why people were being cut off but had emailed RT to find out. Good luck with that one fellas.
Will keep posting the outcome of my credit card claim. Even if it succeeds, it is frustrating to know that the Jessas won't be out of pocket from it.0 -

I paid up 3yrs in advance  ?! Still waiting for the forms to arrive from ccard company.. so my guess that redten prob dont give a monkeys about us as they have probably spent the money already.0 -
It's a sad indictment on society when a family can consistently run a business poorly, walk off with the money and set up another company. They become rewarded with titles and the customers lose out!
And the goverment - what are they doing to stop it happening - nothing! I wonder if that's anything to do with donations to a certain political party?
I'm with BT from tomorrow and for one will be glad not to have any further dealings with anything linked to the Jessas or Clode or NJP for that matter!Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

hello everyone, just back on to see the re-run of the walled garden and the phoenix rise again.
I cannot believe that anyone has not hit the give me my mac code button.
redten were due to post their accounts with company house on 30.6.2008 so it was odds on favourite that they would be bought over by themselves fatcat just like before --deja vu.
If you value your sanity get to a reliable service provider and if you are owed money by Clode or redten --file a claim for it....
its a hassle while your doing it but the relief and piece of mind when you receive a reliable service is worth every last minute of the hassle.
I got out with no charges from march 2008 with the account cleared..........see my post previously outlining the details.
Dont be misled again .......breathe and NJP have a very poor track record and it is characterised by slamming and slowing your bandwidth. NJP are very clear about how they operate their fair use ...........just get you to pay much more than other providers for what is now normal usage for anyone who uses the intenet frequently for carrying out the normal activities of living.
Do not be fooled again or suckered; they have to let you go now if you want to go but remember you only have the 14 days to do it. OFCOM wanted 30 days and you could probably still argue that in court as being a reasonable time required to choose another provider and make arrangements to change.
Get out now while you have the chance
there is nothing to be gained by waiting. It is still redten with another name. Note the use of the words agents and representatives in fat cat blurbs.

Another one for the court is the Advertising Standards Authority ruling on Redten. They asked for any futher comments back by yesterday and should publish soon. I have the draft report but it is labelled "Confidential" as soon as I get the final one I will post it on Deadten. If anyone needs it before (for court) PM me and we can discuss (I don't want any trolls).0
