Thanks Hugo on behalf of all the remaining redten/clode/fatcat customers who will be at the total mercy of these people if they are suckered into signing this travesty of unlimited broadband agreement. Jeeze I have photos that are close to the 5mb limit.

The restrictions imposed by these T&C's are draconian, and to claim an unlimited service is totally ludicrous.

I trust everyone is carrying a condom, as the way I see it you are about to be sc**wed.

    Final thought for tonight:

We reserve the right to amend this policy at any time. Any amendments will be effective fourteen (14)
days after being conspicuously posted on the Fatcat Internet website.
These Terms Last Modified 4th February 2008 (Click for Details)

From the above clause, it would appear that the clock is ticking, you have 14 days from when you were told of the migration to fatcat, to reject that migration, or they will deem you to have accepted the new terms and conditions by default, thereby weakening any case at law that you may have. As for the terms and conditions being modified in February 2008, I didn't know fatcat was in existence then???
If they were then clode have been lying to us all this time, claiming they were in negotiations with redten since the cut off by BT.

since we have no officially published version of terms and conditions I believe clock is not ticking yet. as soon as they will publish it I will send them a rejection letter.

Rebellion says he got them off NJP's site on saturday see post 5861, it depends if they were also on fatcat's site, in which case they could claim that they had been posted?

    Just be careful.

Just to recap, the guy I spoke to at Fatcat stated the T's&C's had not yet been published asked me for a copy. Also they cannot claim they have been posted on the Fatcat site as this is all you get when you try to view site.

I know what you are saying, but remember these are the same people who claim Redten have not breached the original contract!!!

I wouldn't put anything past them, if they think they can get away with it.

Everyone will draw their own conclusions and make their own decisions, all I am trying to do is highlight possible pitfalls.

Note the date when Fatcats TC,s were last updated as in Feb which I think was prior to Fatcat being around except in some very devious minds and forward planing ?

I heard from Fatcat, that their Fair Usage and Terms and Conditions are not on their website yet as the site is just for registering at the moment.

    This may change soon.

Fourteen days notice.:rotfl: I wouldn't trust them - when Fast4 customers lost their unlimited service and either went to 15GB or were unceremoniously but encouraged to migrate because they used more than 30GB we were only given two days notice between the email and implementation.

    Hi all
I've been with Redten since January 2007. Everything was delivered ok, broadband was fast and reliable. I had no reason to contact Redten until March this year when the message from BT appeared on my screen. I contacted Redten and Clode and had no reason not to believe their story about BT. Within 14 days everything was back up and running smoothly with the promise of one extra months broadband at the end of the three years as compensation. (A bit lame I agree.)

I had a letter yesterday from Fatcat saying that my broadband was now through them. The letter has been on the forum but as far as I can see the package is the same. As long as I keep getting the high speed and the fair usage download I'm happy.

I hadn't realized there was such a huge thread on MSE about Redten. I don't have the time to go back through the whole thread, so can anyone summarize what the problem is that so many of you seem to have had? Have I been lucky in some way? Am I naiive? If I am missing something I would love to know so I can take steps to protect myself.
    Cheers
    Q

I joined Redten in Jan 2007 no probs with service till this pile of dung happened, but was told i did not qualify for the "Free Windows Vista Upgrade" even tho i reported that the claim link didnt work( it took redten 4months to inform of there decision!).
So it looks like court for me too.
So far have only had the initial letter from NJP dated 13/03/08
