group action is also a good idea but many small cases around the uk could cost them a furtune.

If the Claim has been issued in the small claims court i.e under £5,000 fixed costs apply. If you have issued against the wrong party they can apply to strike the action and ask for costs. You could attempt to agree to discontinue by consent with the Defendant with no order as to costs. Why does everybody not consider a multi party action against Redten or Clode, i.e all group together instruct one firm of solicitors for a test case and the funding of that firm split pro rata between everybody. This will then enable all the issues to be addressed and not repeated thus minimising legal costs and court time for the economics of the case?

I disagree, why should we as the consumer (innocent party) put up with all this claptrap from clode, redten and njp - you'd expect most companies to give you a bit of a runaround when sorting out issues - but these lot are a law unto themselves! My only response to this and always will be, let them chase you for the money, (they may even get your name right on the claim form, unless you have lot's of aliases) it is in my mind so clear that they are not providing their contractual obligations to us - so stop the payments and let them do the work for once instead of fobbing everyone of with the next so called annoucement of how everything will be ok? Let them issue court proceedings and you will have the option to choose a court nearest to you - your credit rating may be affected in the short term, but when this all comes out in the wash (to coin a phrase) we will all come out clean!

Stop all the payments now as this is the only way that these joke companies will take us seriously!!!

Bit of light hearted reality.... :(

I'm NOT a RedTen customer (Thank the gods) But i think i know what's going to happen....

*Cue Wavy TV effects seen in cheap DrWho episodes*

Clode Funding and Clode Retail finance will unexpectedly go into receivership due to the sudden demise of RedTen.

When this happens FatCatInternet will take over the RedTen/Clode clients (I'm sure for paying RedTen/Clode a nominal fee of £1 for all the customers).
Fatcat will outsource all the finance and payments to a new company called "Clode Financial Retail Funding". Which in no way shape or form is a part of, or connected with, CRF or CF.

You's are left trying to pick the few scrapings of cash from the rotting remains of CF and CRF while getting a whole new set of bills from CFRF Ltd and FatCatInternet. Who will probably Be just as bad and take you another 12 months to get a Stupid MAC code....

But this is just fantesy! Something as rotten as that can never happen in real life shurly???

I hit 5gb today and have been capped @ 19kb/s down and 5 kb/s up namely 1/3 dial up speed, see my earlier post, I now consider that I am not being provided with broadband of any description, and am therefore suffering a denial of service, if this is not a breach if contract then nothing is.

my mum won't let me play with sharp objects today, don't know why. bg

Some breaking news about NJP Services which has shown up on the ISPreview website.

NJP Services and Breathe Networks Limited will merge and Fast4 has been purchased for a undisclosed amount as part of Breathe's deal. It's unknown where Redten stands in regard to this deal.

    Source: http://www.ispreview.co.uk/news/EkEkyluFlABvuQLPgf.html
Following on from that bit of news yesterday, and this comes from a fellow Fast4 customer because they haven't sent me an email about it () there will be no changes to the Fast4 service (so still a stinking 15GB cap by the sounds of it ) and instead of payments showing up as "Netpayments" on statements, they will show up as "InternetServices".

Someone advised me to download the terms and conditions just in case they change something (and from past experience, in particular when our unlimited service became very limited, it'll usually be to the detriment of customers).

I'm still trying to get information as to whether the merger will affect Redten customers.

EDIT: Just sent the following to NJP Services' contact form:

As a Fast4 customer, I am interested in the current merger going on between Breathe and NJP. I do know of a few people on a forum who have a broadband service through Redten, provided by NJP. My question is what will happen to the service with Redten customers as a result of your merger with Breathe?

I got a message from NJP regarding the current situation with Redten customers:

The REDTEN supply will continue being provided to REDTEN and they will
continue with thier own customer support centre and network management,
the FAST4 team an BRETHE team will merge and become one
    company.

    Kind Regards,
