apologies for the delay getting back I had to babysit the kids  after setting up the O2 router which I may add is a doddle.

You will get a text message to say your active then just pop in the cd and it walks you through everything you need to know but do not connect router until the software tells you to switch it:naughty:on simple. You even get 3 licences for McAfee security which is worth about £40.

Even the help lines answer straight away and are UK based and very polite and helpful and are FREE:D I would highly recommend them when all you get away from this nightmare

When did O2 tell your login credentials for the router?

Oh wow that's impressive, who would have thought it an ISP doing something for you without you asking for it!!! Come on bring it on O2, just checked status and my line connection is "in progress". Thanks Roppa

Don't you think it's time Redten took this off it's web portal http://www.redten.net
We know we aren't going to get the 24Mb service anyway so just another pack of lies, pretty much like the words "Customer Services Team"
    http://www.deadten.com

    ====================================================
    IMPORTANT NOTICE
Dear Customer Further to our previous email, the process of transfer of your connection to the new faster backbone (up to 24Mb service) is in progress. Some of you might loose some services (or even connection for a day or so) but it should all be fully operational before the end of the week. Apologies for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your Custom.
    Customer Services Team
    Tel : 0844 482 0000

Folks Redten are gone, Clode are proping this whole thing up using NJP.
No one can contact them directly, if you call the 0905robyoublind number your probably getting a call centre somewhere not redten.
Clode are just trying to save all these contracts that they have with us from being cancelled cost them a bundle.
I for one am totaly fed up sending clode emails and letters they just ignore them anyway and they will never admit that redten are indeed deadten!

    bored with this now!

    Fantastic!
Just got home from walking the dogs - Plugged in BE box - 5 mins later connected!!!! no more REDTEN!! dead easy - connected straight away - no password, just put CD in and click next a few times - just over 2500 Kpbs not brilliant (up to 24meg) but still 5X faster than RT - celebrations and relief

Kevindowns if you go on the BE forum you can speak to the customer service guys direct my connection started of around 10mb its now averaging out at 16mb with a 1.5mb upload.
go to the speed page and they will ask for the details of your modem and can advise you how to get a better connection.

just wondering are you getting these speeds wirelessly or connected via ethernet cable as I get a much faster speeds on my pc connected to the router with an ethernet cable than I do on my laptop wirelessly in the kitchen.

Just in case anyone else is going to try ringing Clode,

    Nicola is off all week,
Louise is working from home until Thursday 9:00am &
Nick is 'out of the office'

Well I just tried ringing @ 11:00am to give the girl chance to catch up, to be told she's not in the office but she's due in at 1:00.

Now the question is - will she be at lunch?
