  • Hi all , was wondering if anyone who stopped their D.D to Clode had yet recieved any ' damage ' to their credit rating / score ? I know some of you had recieved the standard Clode letters , but have Clode since taken their pursuit further ?

I'm in this situation. When I received the first one, I phoned Clode. They told me to write in and lodge a complaint. This I did, but I've got another two threat letters. So I phoned them again this week. They told me ignore those letters. At which point I dug my heals in a bit. I insisted on a letter confirming that I should ignore the letters. That was Tuesday this week, Nothing yet.

As I love being so indisputably in the right about something when talking to Clode, I might phone them tomorrow just to get on their nerves.

I've had three letters dated 20,21,22 May all stating that I am 2 months behind on my payments and that this is unacceptable, sent an email back on 27 May to them that I sent three letters dated 27 March, 11 & 15 April to which I have had no reply and also pointed out this is unacceptable to me and until the questions raised in those letters are answered properly I am witholding all payments to them while my court papers/case goes on.

I haven't received anything back from them as yet.

dISGUSTED - I've had two letters from Clode re non payment, the second saying it was unnacceptable and threatening action - I rang the collections department and spoke to a gentleman who advised this was a standard letter (and apologised for it being sent out) and that I should ignore it. When I pushed him for an idea of when I was likely to hear from the dept dealing with redten he couldn't advise (but again was very apologetic).
I must admit I find it hard to believe how long all this is taking - bearing in mind it was a month ago that those ridiculous offers came out from Clode with a 4 day timescale to accept......I just get the impression that Clode are utterly clueless about what to do.

Threw this email into the fray yesterday, just to see if our illustrious Mr Davies was going to come clean, needless to say although he read the message, or at least opened it, I am still waiting for a response, yes I know what you are all thinking, how could I have been so stupid, but hey, I was at least hoping for a "regret I cannot divulge etc" type response, but still no worries, you know what they say, If you worry you die, If you don't worry you die, so why worry, certainly not over Clode.

    Dear Mr Davies,

Having read much speculation on the MSE forum regarding fatcatinternet, I should like to ask you personally if this "company" is indeed part of the Clode group of companies, or just someone's idea of a wind up?

I should also like to take this opportunity to ask you personally to arrange the supply of my MAC code, and to ask why it appears to be such a problem to supply it?

    Yours sincerely

    Jack Parkinson

Unlimited - there's a joke - only used just over 6GB and getting 23KPS today
Called the premium line and spoke to Frank - didn't even know what the limit was supposed to be.
