    Hi richdanall,
I've signed up with O2 also. Just wondering... which O2 package did you sign up for and have you checked the speed yet?

    Thanks

I had to sign up for the service that still uses a BT line (cant get the other) costs me £17.50pm as long as i put £10 every 3 months on my pay as you go 02 mobile, otherwise its £22pm. i checked my speed last night i was downloading at just under 5mb (never got higher than 2.5 with redten)

I was just wondering if any of the people that bought out of Clode have moved into their new O2 broadband yet? I am due to move tomorrow and was just wondering if anyone elses has been a success?
    Thanks.

i went live with them yesterday, recieved a text at 5.00pm to let me know my line was active. took about 5 mins to set up the router and connect (just put the disc in your pc and follow the instructions) the supplied disc also sets up any other pc in your house for wireless networking. when youve set the first one up just run the disc in the others and it does it all for you.
Last night was the first time in a long time ive not had to tell my son be careful what you download, and to be able to turn back on auto updates etc was a joy. (shows how much redten and the rest of them can affect your life when you get turned on by auto updating something) very sad!!!!

    Thanks for the update,
Did they send you the login details by email or text? Also what speeds are you running at?

I signed up online so my login details are the email address and password i picked at the time. When you are setting up the router you dont need to access the interface at all. the installation disc does it all. If you want to set up a wireless network the disc does it all, it only asks for a wep key which is on a label on the disc cover. Hope this helps.

    Hi all,

I have finally had my first comunication from REDTEN.:T This was a reply to an email I sent on the 10TH OF MARCH. Over two and a half months ago to tell me that I am being transfered to JNP! (Idiots cant even get NJP right). Nothing else just that. So I should get my MAC in about another 6 weeks then at this rate.

On the plus side though I have had a call from trading standards to confirm my details.:j The gentleman I spoke to was very well versed with this forum and the details of what is going on, just have to see were this goes now.

If I get anything new I will let all know. All the best to all still sufffering and good luck to all the escapees.

    Fantastic!
Just got home from walking the dogs - Plugged in BE box - 5 mins later connected!!!! no more REDTEN!! dead easy - connected straight away - no password, just put CD in and click next a few times - just over 2500 Kpbs not brilliant (up to 24meg) but still 5X faster than RT - celebrations and relief
  • Hi everyone,

I have been watching the posts from time to time but had nothing new to report until now.

I have now had an email from some mob called fat cat purporting to be sending me emails on behalf of redteninternet.

They have apologised for the delay in responding to my email to redten for assistance and as its their technical department they advise me to contact
    wait for it
0905 099 0200.......for assistance with my urgent problem and please dont hesitate to contact them if I need anything further!!!!!!!

Since its more than eight weeks since I contacted redten with my ....urgent problem of not being able to receive any emails or send them........and.....its more than 6 weeks since I was a customer of redten,,,,,,thats good going.

I can only assume this is either spam or that some hacker has taken over the red ten site and has been given my private details and contact numbers etc.

I am therefore reporting them to TS and also sent their details to spyware.

    regards to all

    FCI

    PS nothing from court yet.

PPS spellcheck suggests that I change redteninternet to redundant .......never a truer word.

Don't you think it's time Redten took this off it's web portal http://www.redten.net
We know we aren't going to get the 24Mb service anyway so just another pack of lies, pretty much like the words "Customer Services Team"

    IMPORTANT NOTICE
Dear Customer Further to our previous email, the process of transfer of your connection to the new faster backbone (up to 24Mb service) is in progress. Some of you might loose some services (or even connection for a day or so) but it should all be fully operational before the end of the week. Apologies for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your Custom.

I chased up the 24 meg bit with advertising standards who seemed so thick they simply replied that they thought everyone would understand that not all exchanges could get 24 yet, missed the point entirely about free not being offered but still advertised
After explaining a few times I just gave up
    Who cares ??

Any news Roppa on your migration?

apologies for the delay getting back I had to babysit the kids  after setting up the O2 router which I may add is a doddle.

You will get a text message to say your active then just pop in the cd and it walks you through everything you need to know but do not connect router until the software tells you to switch it:naughty:on simple. You even get 3 licences for McAfee security which is worth about £40.

Even the help lines answer straight away and are UK based and very polite and helpful and are FREE:D I would highly recommend them when all you get away from this nightmare

the pictures a bit small but it reads download:15130 kb/s upload:1018kb/s:cool: a vast improvement over redscum:mad:
