Agreed - best outcome for me as well :beer:0

to be honest, in my situation the best thing that could happen is that Redten do go bust.
Means that the finance agreement can be discarded and Ill sign up with someone else - jobs a good un.
Thats the way i feel as well just annoyed that they haven't sent out the Laptop yet only been waiting since December.I suppose i am in a slightly different postion as well as i have still to pay them a penny as they haven't completed the order.0 -
The way I'm seeing it (and this is my personal opinion)
1. Redten informs Clode they are in financial difficulties and are going bust
2. BT Pulls plug for non-payment
3. Clode steps in and keeps Redten afloat while requesting MAC's and transfering the customer base across to another ISP.
4. Once completed Redten will go bust, Clode will be happy as they still get their monthly payments as they've transfered you across to a new supplier
5. Your still stuck in your contract.
I think its Clode thats pulling the strings here.....Mortgage - Free :j
Lloyds CC - £0 Paid Off
Santander CC - £0 Paid Off0 -
not bothered again really.
Providing I am getting the same level of service then thats all i am bothered about. If anything changes I can cancel the contract and get out.
Ultimately if its redten or fast4 and I am still getting unlimited uncapped internet access then Ill carry on till 2009. If anything changes, then Ill cancel. Sorted. Good thing is, if a big company like Clode are involved then at least something will get done!0 -
I managed to logon to fast4 with both mine and my mums redten account.... mine showed an ctivation date of 18/03/2008 but my Mums was blank on the activation date. All other expected info was there - two worrying things.....
- The package I'm put down on is Max Home Lite (ie not unlimited) it also mentions a payment date in a month for £9.98.
If speaking to Fast4 might be worth confirming the package is unlimited and that no payment is expected !
NB - Used instructions as previous posting ie xxx.yyy.redten with broadband not Email password. www.fast4.net/members Using your existing RedTen username and password (ie the name before the @dsl.com).0 -
managed to log on too and mine says the same ipwiz.
Again, not going to worry until it changes or they confirm my access is capped. Once they do that, Redten are in breach and I will cancel.
Not much any of us can do until the 18th/19th it would seem.0 -
I've also logged onto fast4 site. It does say no payments due. However it does state a 2GB per month usage with a charge of £1 p/GB thereafter - a clear change in the terms and conditions that we had with Redten. It seems to be having some trouble displaying Terms and Conditions however.
I think the jury is still out.0 -
Why not just wait till the 18th folks. Anything else that comes out now over the weekend will just be speculation.
In my opinion the way it stands is -
1 - The service should come back on on the 18th
2 - The service should be the same as before (ie unlimited)
3 - If the service is not the same we can claim that both Redten and Clode are in breach of contract and we can hopefully cancel.
This should be sorted by Tuesday as this is the activation date that folk have been given on fast4 - otherwise our broadband lines will go dead.0 -
Ok, so what happens when you get INVALID LOGIN DETAILS at the fast4 website? I've tried all manner of versions of my login details but still won't let me in. Does that mean I'm one of these that isn't being transferred?
I shouldn't have to wait for the service to become live, I've never been told that it was supposed to be down (other than what I've read on here) but if I've no internet access how was I supposed to find that out? Of course, I can get online, but they don't know that.
The convenient thing for redten is, once the 17th has been and gone, BT cut us off, regardless of whether we're on their network or not, so we're just sitting around waiting for something that isn't guaranteed to happen.
I don't want my broadband line to go dead, if I wasn't in this godawful contract I would be on BT broadband by Wednesday next week with no problems at all.
What also annoys me is that I have emailed Redten before now telling them what a wonderful, uninterrupted service I had received (and my comments are actually on their website) seems I spoke too bloody soon!!!Dannii_B
