Doesn't make sense to me, Our contracts and Invoices show FREE PC, why are we expected to pay for that.
I look forward to hearing how they explain that one in court!Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

I think people need to understand is what I believe is Clode's logic is in all this.
First Redten have just walked away from this and left the finance provider to deal with everything as they were jointly responsible.
Biggest complaint is "unlimited is now limited" and difficulty in finding alternative supplier at realistic price. Redten just walked away and Clode can't find anything either. If 15gig cap service is £16.95 possibly a discount of £2 or £3 for bulk supply - they (Clode) are losing money.
Solution. Lots of customers demanding unlimited and asking for Mac Codes so simple answer is let them buy their own broadband and knock the cost off the bill. Problem - as some of us were only paying £12.99 a realistic allowance for alternative supply is likely to be a bit more than this would mean them paying us more than we are paying them. That's why I think the figure of £12 came in. That would satisfy the "latecomers" and get rid of them.
The offer may be taken up by some original customers desperate to leave so may get some moey back there.
Next Move
Increase offer to remaining customers to say £15 a month and give new settlement figures to customers. If they are serious they should:-
1 Allow you to carry on your original payments less alternate Broadband cost or
2 Any settlement figure should make generous allowance for intrest as loan settled early.
3 Any customer who can prove cost of "lowest cost unlimited" service in their area should be allowed to deduct that figure from monthly payments.
The other possibilty is they could do a deal with someone like Tiscali for around £15 month. With all the £12.99 a month customers gone, paying £15 a month to keep original customers supplied could be viable.
Who is paying NJP?
I think its Clode who are paying NJP for our service - If it wasn't for Clode I think we would have lost our service 31st March 3pm.0 -
just recieved an email from support@redten.co.uk informing me that i have already used over 6GB of bandwidth this month. Well they know what part of me they can kiss!0

Afraid there is no such thing as redten.co.uk, that's just an automatic mail from NJP who can't even get deadten's support email address right. I'll bet it still has the NJP number at the end.

Even NJP can't pose as Deadten! Total shambles.
They'd even screw up trying to kiss your 'body part' and stick their head up it by mistake - close, but not close enough! LOL

Why would they consider allowance for interest on early settlement of INTEREST FREE loan ??Who cares ??0 -
Agree with most of your comments but.
Why would they consider allowance for interest on early settlement of INTEREST FREE loan ??
The loan is interest free to us - they (Clode) would have deducted an amount to cover interest before paying redten.
If your loan was 36x£20= £720 then Redten would get around £600 leaving Clode with £120 interest.0 -
i think clode/redten next time they have one of these so called meetings they should invite some of there customers along to see what can be resolved regarding broadband limit (cap) new isp njp cant cope and ways to restore customer relations that will be there hardest batle maybe letting there customers know whats happening in advance a whole new customer services needs to be set up because there is no current support could there be like an non profitting isp set up by its customers like the credit union do with loans etc0

After a lovely bank holiday weekend, I guess it's back to the grindstone and dealing with reality - shame a certain finance company doesn't ever seem to plan on doing that!Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Hi all, had to email them yesterday to get a offer.
"Your current loan balance is £445.47 with 31 payments of £14.37 remaining due under the contract however we will accept a payment of £73.47 in full and final settlement of your account."
22nd Dec 07 my payment started.
Never got a modem so asked them to knock £40.35(saverstore price) of the offer.
Thanks for all the advice.
Got this offer 2nd of May 2:38pm. Read it bout 3:30 got prior to 2nd May 2008 to make payment? Are they mad?
Did Clode accept the reduction in Price, I never received my printer which I paid for ata acost of £79.99 and Clode said that i have to take that up with Redten so curious if you got told the same. Cheers0 -
Emailed Mr Davies simply saying I await to hear from him.
Ill be on the phone to Clode at lunch again. Not leaving till they accept my counter offer which is more than reasonable.0
