I might be wrong but have you also noticed no one has posted an offer with more than 31 months to go. Suggesting that no new customers taken on for quite a while.

Hi,
I signed up in Dec 07/service started in Jan 08 - but was never charged because the computer was never delivered (lucky escape, it turns out!). My customer number was RBB10010818.
Anyone here sign up more recently than that? Anyone order shortly before that and get their computer?

" am proposing that, without prejudice to any future claim that I may make should this offer be rejected, that I pay Clode Retail Finance the sum of £0.01 in full and final settlement of my account "
i have just replied to it with
what is there to investigate? redten and yourselves broke the contract not me.
perhaps its my previous question that was not answered, just in case its got lost in the thousands of other redten complaints i will ask it again,
can someone explain to me why because i owe £17.10p more than someone else i have to pay back £137.10 more.
"current loan balance is £402.69 with 31 payments of £12.99 remaining due under the contract however we will accept a payment of £30.69 in full and final settlement of your account."
and i have
"current loan balance is £419.79 with 21 payments of £19.99 remaining due under the contract however we will accept a payment of £167.79 in full and final settlement of your account."
and do you really think it is acceptable to only give me less than 2 days to except your offer, and do you think I'm going to except your offer without all the facts ie when are we going to get the unlimited uncapped service we was paying for (date required)

i don't think i will get a answer0 -
all im saying if you send them a reply letter offering them even as little as 1p the case eventually goes to court they have an offer from you of 1p witch could be read as you admitting you owe them money not them oweing you money for compensation for you time phone calls legal expences witch could end up hundreds of pounds0

I think the "without prejudice" takes care of that concern and it is in your favour that you have tried to settle out of court though I doubt 1 p. would look like a serious attempt at settlement.Who cares ??0 -
