  • Had a call this evening from louise at clode. I explained i would not accept their offer of me paying £158.80 to close my account, joined nov 2006. We went round and round in circles getting nowhere. She wants me to make an offer of payment to them. My end reply was I would seek legal advice as I dont think I should be paying clode anything.

there are two types of law in this great land of ours
statute law (laws that have gone through Parliament) data base of statute law
and common law (laws that are made through precedent by one judge, other judges then follow suit) Communications and media common law here.

Indeed - we are dealing with a statute law and a very clear cut one as well. The judge will not be able to deviate from it.

Don't worry about it mac0, you're contributions are as valid as anyone elses. They might take a bit of deciphering but at least people read them - which is more than can be said for a certain company and letters of complaint.

Has anyone noticed that Clode/Redten are currently paying £16.95 for a 15Gb capped service, yet are only offering to provide £12 to move cancel our contracts, I make that a saving of £5 per month per customer, hmmmm maybe another reason for their "generous" offer, they are actually saving money by releasing the £12.99 customers, and why they are so reluctant to let us £19.99 customers leave, without paying them a bounty.
Obviously the above figures are headline figures and will differ in reality to what Clode actually pay, but it all makes a lot more sense.
So much for getting an unlimited broadband service for £12!

Anyone know if you can claim your own professional time when making a claim against Clode, I've claimed for phone calls, and letters etc, but what about the hours wasted to try and sort this ?

    Thanks

you may be dyslexic but at least you can read and understand, more than can be said for clode, and redten can't even speak or listen. so you're doing ok in my book.

why is dyslexia so hard to spell???? :)
