Apparently as Redten cancelled my line (according to them because I asked them too, which is true, but also asked for no financial penalty in doing so.) then Clode have to look more in to my situation. This morning I gave them 5 days to restore my unlimited broadband as he says they now can. They now don't think they can meet that deadline, and have to get back to me. (that will probably take them another 7 weeks.
just on a slightly different note why are they still charging you for a static ip when njp said redten has given us all static ip's at no charge?0 -

So they are actually unable at the moment to honour the terms of the contract and are therefore in breach of that contract.
Despite that:
They have now offered to settle those accounts of a large number of people on the basis of 99p per month for the remainder of the contracts which includes any liability for equipment for which there may or not may have been a charge against. Full and Final settlement means all inclusive charges which may be liable.
Therefore no-one should be settled for anything more than this.
For those who still owe 20 months, the early signers, this would be £19.80p

ok FCI, that sounds good enough, give Clode a phone and get them to agree to that.
Bet you a fiver they wont!0 -
Just rung Clode and they said to wait for a letter which we should receive by Thursday. I just seem to be getting passed around- from clode, redten, murphyx etc. Is there a way we can all get together to do a group action? I do not know how to instigate this but would be willing to participate.0

Hi FCI
Nice to see you around again, just pressed Nicola for my offer, and basically was told that it was the same as the other 20 monthers i.e. £12 reduction, just fired off a reply to the effect that I would rather stick red hot needles in my eyes and that the £7.50 payment on offer was an intrim payment for the reduced service I am currently receiving, until the matter is resolved, not an offer to continue for another 20 months with a company that cannot offer me what we contracted for.
I am suspending my direct debit from tomorrow and will pay the £7.50 by other means.
Will talk to my solicitor again tomorrow and see what he says.
Will be in touch by pm soon, they still will not give me a MAC code, pointed out to Nicola that they are now on working day 16 of the 5 working days allowed by law!!!

I know it has been suggested else where, but I think group action is now the best way forward. I would gladly put my claim against CLODE/REDTEN with anyone else who knows how this is done.Ron.

No longer waiting REDTEN:D0 -
If they do give you an unimited service, it will be subject to a Fair Usage Policy - but then that depends what they call fair. All they have to do is set the FUP to 15GB, and say that they are giving you 'unlimited' downloads.
You will not be getting a completly unlimited service, it just isn't viable.0 -

somehow i doubt that you will be mass migrated to a new supplier, as NJP would lose out big (and I'm sure there would be some sort of minimum service contract between RedTen and NJP)0
